Found the first quartz vein amongst the quartz pebbles in the gold exploration area in Mauritania.

Gerak Darma's team is in the first of the two gold exploration tenements approved by the government for our host. This is in the Sahara Desert of the Tiris Zemmour Region, Mauritania. The area is covered with quartz rocks and pebbles. Judging from the shapes of the rock in the area, the vein should be in the area. We found a small vein after exploring the area. It is not big, but it is a good sign that the big vein is nearby or in the ground. The team opened up the vein and started hammering to sample it. We are excited about this find since it pointed to a possible mineralized zone inside the area. The exploration continues.
