Great!! I am Japanese. It's one of my favorite machines when I was a kid (about 1978 or 79)! At that time, the price was too high to buy... But now I can experience it thanks to RUclips. It's been a good time. Please continue to make fun videos. I am rooting for you from Japan.!(^^)!
Also my childhood dream car. I need one in my collection. I appreciate passion for the cars because I can go on about cars I have an appreciation for. My late father who passed away Sunday introduced me to the countache from the movie cannonball run when I was a child and started a love affair with that car that still burns today. Thankyou
Just revisited this video as I'm going to try line tape on a white Tamiya Escort Custom. I've bought Kyosho 0.7mm and 0.4mm rolls from one shop and 0.5mm and 0.3mm sheets from another. Getting the lines off the sheets looks like it could be tricky. I think it's going to be a long weekend of trying to decide what looks best. I've even found myself looking at shut and panel lines of cars as I walk home from work now! Great video as always.
I'm sick of seeing salesman get involved with the hobby just so they have a subject to create content about so that they can get the attention they so desperately crave or quit that job that they dreadfully hate. Your a true O.G of the hobby Glen, keeping it real in a genre full of posers and imposters.
Great car, great job! Grats to this iconic 80s legend. I wish Tamiya would rere it. I would like to have one myself. Its almost a must have for us older folks ;-)
Could kick myself for not picking one up when it was available. I wish Tamiya would produce unique rims more often, those just do it for me. Though I maybe would've preferred it to be rere'd on the Group C chassis like the F40 in 2005. Especially with the wide rears they'd look epic next to each other.
White is probably my favourite Countach colour ever, black is a close second because they're both super simple colours and let the car's bodylines do all the talking. Red also isn't bad but it suits the original Countach a lot more than any of the later versions with the wings and exaggerated proportions. Looking great there Glenn and it's a perfect replica of the real thing :)
Your fans in the Missouri Ozarks are stopping by to tell you how much we enjoyed your video this morning! Great work, great camera angles and great narration. You are a true professional, and are inspiring many out here to this hobby. It's a great thing. Please keep up the great work, and Merry Christmas to you, friend! Fred and Connie.
An excellent job, Glen! One thing which disappoints me, and it's nothing to do with your skills, is the fact that Tamiya didn't make the front and rear wheels different widths. There's a huge difference on the real car.
Fanastic looking car that! Got my son his first Tamiya RC kit for Christmas. I haven't touched one for about 20 years, but your videos have inspired me to get him into it. Cheers Glenn and Happy Christmas 👍
Always wanted one of these, but usual story, no money to buy when they were for sale. I think your choice of painting it white was an excellent call, either white or red for the Countach IMO. One thing that was bugging my ocd was the wheel arches, please can you sand them Glenn, then show us the finished result?! Thanks for another cracking vid mate.
My ocd flared up when I saw the front indicatorlights were in the wrong way around (orange goes to the outside, white or silver bits to the inside). But it's an epic kit in any way you build it.
Lamborghini made a few (very rare) Countach’s called the Low Body, they are as the name suggests just lowered versions of the car so dont be afraid to drop it a little because if it’s ok for Lambo to do it, then why not, the car looks incredible 😀
Hi Glen!!! I’m a bit late on this video…. Great job on the Lamborghini!! Looks great!!! Cool idea I can give you if you want it …. Get a Blackfoot driver and paint the head in your likeness and him wearing a Tamiya legends shirt!!! I did it on my Blackfoot in my likeness and my wife and kids had a great laugh. Just a thought….. you can live out your child hood dream now! 😂😂😂😂 Thanks my man!!!
Another stunner for the shelves! The linetape is a tricky one on white bodies, as its often almost too stark a contrast, ideally you'd want a grey line, but dunno if they do that with tape. It gets too busy if you do the whole car with blackpanel lines, as noticed. I think your half/half approach with picking out major details with the linetape was a good inbetween solution. If one wanted to be really picky, I guess I'd try to widen the rear wheels out a bit more, looking at the "real" car, the wheels are just about in line with the body, giving it that wide stance look. But regardless, its a glorious looking lambo. ALSO, watching your vid, finally answered my own questions on what the heck those odd panel things are for the inside, I have the bodykit, but no instructions, and google didnt turn up much looking for the instruction sheet. :D So now I know. Thanks for that as well as the joyful video. ¨ Cheers
Wow! Thats a flipping gorgeous car. It'd be interesting to see that shell in TRF colours or even a Tamiya Legends colour scheme with those star decals 🤔. Anyhoo, a thoroughly entertaining video as always. Brilliant!!!😃👍👍
Hi Glenn, the car looks awesome, well done! I did notice that you have put the front lights on the wrong way around. The orange indicators should be on the outside. So it’s just a matter of swapping the light buckets around.
Hi Glen, great video mate. Have you tried it with black wheel nuts? I think that might add a bit of contrast in the wheel area that would suit the car.
Fab job mate……..I don’t want to be “that guy” but I think you need to paint the mirror boots black. Other than that spot on……..if it were me though, i would put pop up headlight on…..and I would run it, its a Lambo after all. Did Tamiya do a Tessa??????? These 2 have long buried the hatchet, and seeing them both together is like heaven
Looking good. You need to add those surrport bars Glenn those are to pull the sides in at the bottom, although how much they will help I'm not sure, the contach curves in quite a lot at the sides.
G'day mate nice looks great in white don't know if like the pin stripping sorry mate. Yeah driver cockpit or smoke out windows tint would make the white pop mate
Very nice Glenn, it does need a few more tiny details added to it like the indicators and maybe paint the door mirrors black, would look even better if you can make a driver cockpit fit into it 👍👍
Love this video! Top car and the result was stunning! Good decision with the line tape and those front lights look amazing 👏 hope they do a re re of this body shell 🤞🏻
The very first additions of these Lamborghini's was designed without the rear wing but personally i think these versions look better with it and some even had a front wing on the hood/boot just in front of the lights and glad to see you went with the white...Just look at her you've done an excellent job Glenn 😎👊💪👌🔥🔥🔥 gonna lightly smoke the windows ?
I think the line tape doesn't work too well because it's still a bit too wide, even 80's Lambos didn't have gaps this big ;D the tape is available in 0.4 as well.
Great looking kit, I was definitely team Lambo as a kid. Just one thing mate, I think the front indicators should be on the outer side of the light buckets.
Hi Glenn, you’ve done a good job on the colour scheme and who as a boy, didn’t want a Lamborghini Countach as a boy. I think that perhaps a bit thinner line tape for the details of the door, boot and other creases. Only two days, it would have taken me much much longer, but, I know I am a lot slower. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. 😊😉😊
I have one of these but mine is white and ready to run. I took it apart and installed bearings. I also have a set of wheels and a yellow body that has been painted with panel lines. Thoughts?
I was always a Ferrari fan. The Lambo always seemed a bit too much. Great days for the super cars back then though. No stupid congestion charges or electric vehicles. Red Ferrari Testarossa Black Lambo Silver Porsche 911 TC Yellow Lotus Esprit Turbo Yum yum
Use a peace of styrene and cut it out to match the top of the dash of your driver cockpit and then Trace where it is going to meet the body at the bottom of the windshield and that will fill in your Gap. I know I probably didn't explain it to where u understand what I'm talking about. Lol.
Love the Lambo shell its an absolute machine, wonder if we will ever see it again as an anniversary release or if there will be a Countach LPI 800-4 on a TT-02 chassis 🤞
100% the right colour choice!
Thank you 😊😊😊
Had to stop what I was doing to watch this straight away. Awesome. I think you made the right decision regards the line tape. That looks mint 👍🏼
Hey thank you 😊😊😊
Great!! I am Japanese. It's one of my favorite machines when I was a kid (about 1978 or 79)! At that time, the price was too high to buy... But now I can experience it thanks to RUclips. It's been a good time. Please continue to make fun videos. I am rooting for you from Japan.!(^^)!
Had posters of the Countach on the walls growing up! Best looking car body ever.
Fantastic 😊😊😊
Great job Glenn. Cutting out polycarbonate bodies always brings me out in a cold sweat and those wheel arches look particularly tricky.
Thanks buddy yeah definitely not my favourite part of the build 😅👊🏻
I wouldn't kick that out of bed! Gorgeous! I had a poster as a kid with a white lambo! What a thing!!! Great job again Glenn!😁👍
Thank you 😊😊😊
It screams Miami Vice! Great memories.
Haha good times my friend 😊👊🏻
Also my childhood dream car. I need one in my collection. I appreciate passion for the cars because I can go on about cars I have an appreciation for. My late father who passed away Sunday introduced me to the countache from the movie cannonball run when I was a child and started a love affair with that car that still burns today. Thankyou
Great job. That Lamborghini looks amazing. A driver and cockpit would definitely complete the look.
Thanks James I’ve still not found one that will fit correctly yet 🤕👊🏻
Just revisited this video as I'm going to try line tape on a white Tamiya Escort Custom. I've bought Kyosho 0.7mm and 0.4mm rolls from one shop and 0.5mm and 0.3mm sheets from another. Haha I totally understand what you’re saying 🤣👊🏻
Good luck I’m sure it’ll look fantastic my friend 🤩
I had a Lambo, Porsche and a Lotus all in red posters on my wall dream cars as a kid of the 80's. Great work as always Glenn 👍
Excellent 😎👊🏻
Very nice! One of my dream cars as a kid. For me personally I prefer the look of the 0.4 micron tape, but it is a bit harder to work with.
Thank you 😊
Yeah I need to order the .4 tape 😅👊🏻
Yea that's the reason you're not convinced. Everything above 0.4 is too brutal..
Fantastic Glenn, what an icon! 😎 Totally agree less is more with the line tape 👍
Thanks Rob 😊👊🏻
The best colourway!!!!!….well done Glenn 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you 😊
You lucky bugger!! That was my absolute dream car as a kid!!
Nice one Glenn, anyone who remembers Cannonball Run had a picture of a lambo lol Merry Christmas 👍👍
Haha fantastic and Merry Christmas Paul 😊👊🏻
Hood, doors, and engine bay👍 looks good with just that.
Thank you 😊
I'm sick of seeing salesman get involved with the hobby just so they have a subject to create content about so that they can get the attention they so desperately crave or quit that job that they dreadfully hate.
Your a true O.G of the hobby Glen, keeping it real in a genre full of posers and imposters.
Haha I better keep my mouth shut on this subject Mark, it would only get me into trouble lol 😂
Fantastic job Glenn. White is one of the best colours for the Countach as it contrasts the black of the intakes and grilles. Cheers mate:)
Excellent thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻
Came out awesome 😎 love the Lambo. Definitely one that was on everyone’s wall growing up 🤩
Thanks Adam 😊👊🏻
Beautiful as usual Glenn!
Thank you 😊
Another stunning build well done my friend loving the white 😁👍
Thanks Richard 😊👊🏻
Sweet, came out nice Glenn 👍
Thank you 😊
came out fantastic Glenn!!!! in my mind,i can see some line tape on the wing, maybe straight across on the front and back edge.
Hello Glenn that came out looking amazing my friend top work and great video and yes you went a bit mad with the line tape 😆
Haha thanks buddy 😎👊🏻
White was definitely a great choice my friend, Lamborghini looks amazing super great job, i love it 👊😉✌👍
Great car, great job! Grats to this iconic 80s legend. I wish Tamiya would rere it. I would like to have one myself. Its almost a must have for us older folks ;-)
Yeah totally agree I hope they do it again 😇🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Love it! Great work Glenn 👍🏻
Thank you 😊

Though I maybe would've preferred it to be rere'd on the Group C chassis like the F40 in 2005. Especially with the wide rears they'd look epic next to each other.
Yeah on a group C chassis would be very cool indeed my friend 🤩👊🏻
White is probably my favourite Countach colour ever, black is a close second because they're both super simple colours and let the car's bodylines do all the talking.
Red also isn't bad but it suits the original Countach a lot more than any of the later versions with the wings and exaggerated proportions.
Looking great there Glenn and it's a perfect replica of the real thing :)
Thanks Aaron 😊👊🏻
That is one sweet looking rc , really nice work the Countach looks good in the white as well
Thanks Andy 😊👊🏻
One of my favourite builds you have done . Just simplistically beautiful 👍
Looks great Glenn. Wow much better without all the tape.. just ordered the Blockhead Wild one on pre-order looking forward to it :)
Excellent kit my friend, mine’s just arrived but I can’t see me building it for awhile 😅👊🏻
Just wanted to say how gorgeous the Countach came out Glenn. I was thinking bright red w/gold wheels, but I have to say the white looks great. 👌
Awesome it definitely needed to be white 👌👍
Thanks Matthew 😊👊🏻
Great job mate looks fantastic. What kid from the 80s didn’t love this car!
Thanks for watching my friend 😎👊🏻
In your previous video on this car I said paint it silver but you were totally rite to paint her white, she looks stunning Glenn 😍 👊👌
Thanks Carl 😊🤩
Nice job Glenn,looks great.
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻

Thanks so much for the lovely comment my friend 😊👊🏻
When you had all the line tape on it almost looked cell-shaded cyberpunk style! Either way it’s super cool especially the backend 👍🤩
Love it Glenn. That looks so good.
Thank you 😊
Looks great Glenn. I’d say spraying the wheels white would finish it.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment Chris 😊👊🏻
It looks amazing sometimes less is more with that line tape that has got a great balance looks great
Excellent thanks for the feedback my friend 😊👊🏻
An excellent job, Glen! One thing which disappoints me, and it's nothing to do with your skills, is the fact that Tamiya didn't make the front and rear wheels different widths. There's a huge difference on the real car.
Yeah I totally agree my friend 😊👊🏻
Love those wheels…..my super car poster car as a young lad
Oh yeah probably one of the biggest selling posters from back then 😇👊🏻
Fanastic looking car that! Got my son his first Tamiya RC kit for Christmas. I haven't touched one for about 20 years, but your videos have inspired me to get him into it. Cheers Glenn and Happy Christmas 👍
Excellent that’s fantastic Nick 😊
Merry Christmas to you and your family my friend 😊👊🏻
Looks stunning. It's the right amount of line tape for me.
Thanks Andy 😊👊🏻
Fantastic work as always man, lets cruise and blast that 80s synthwave!😆
Haha love it 😍
My one is yelow in XB version.... Congratulation for this rare lamborghini. Best regards.
Thanks for watching 😊👊🏻
So glad you did it white, looks spot on mate
Thanks Nick 😊😊😊
It turned out awesome! My Countach poster was red - it's framed and still up in my shop.
Oh wow that’s awesome my friend 😎👊🏻
Fantastic memories of these things. Brilliant job.
Thank you 😊
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow this is awesome dude
Thank you 😊
Yes Glen I'm so glad you went with white in the end it looks beautiful awesome build my friend ❤
Thank you 😊

And when u say, ”i wont use the rear lightbuckets” im like but Glenn, u will miss half the rear of the car!?
But u got things together i see🤌🏽😁
Cheers
Haha I got there in the end my friend 🤣👊🏻
I need one even more now, thanks Glenn 🤬
Another great video my friend 👌 thanks for taking the time to bring us more excellent content 👍
Thank you for watching 😇😇😇
You should get some bearing oil for your bushings on that 15 turn motor and then get some com drops for it it should make the motor run a lot better.
Lamborghini made a few (very rare) Countach’s called the Low Body, they are as the name suggests just lowered versions of the car so dont be afraid to drop it a little because if it’s ok for Lambo to do it, then why not, the car looks incredible 😀

Haha I actually didn’t fit them in this video but did later, they actually make a big different and give you more curve 😅👊🏻
White was definitely a great choice. I would love to see it with the LEDs lit up!!
Thank you 😊
Wow! Thats a flipping gorgeous car. It'd be interesting to see that shell in TRF colours or even a Tamiya Legends colour scheme with those star decals 🤔. Anyhoo, a thoroughly entertaining video as always. Brilliant!!!😃👍👍
Haha yeah I agree this Lambo in a custom livery would be awesome 😎
That was interesting, the car is fantastic!
Thank you 😊
Hi Glenn, the car looks awesome, well done! I did notice that you have put the front lights on the wrong way around. The orange indicators should be on the outside. So it’s just a matter of swapping the light buckets around.
Oh no really 🤣🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
@@TAMIYALegends and no tiny side repeaters painted orange! lol
Great epi today👌 I really appreciate the way you break it down and explain your thought process 🤗 oh, plus that car ain't too shabby either 😜
Haha thank you my friend 😇👊🏻
Yes looks whey better with a black background 👊🏻
Yeah I thought so too 😅
Thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻
Hi Glen, great video mate. Have you tried it with black wheel nuts? I think that might add a bit of contrast in the wheel area that would suit the car.
Excellent thanks for the feedback Shaun 😎👊🏻
Amazing. I love watching your process! Learning much. Thanks!
Thank you for watching my friend 😇👊🏻
Wow, that Lambo looks absolutely gorgeous :) Please don't put any more line tape on there, it looks fantastic as it is. What a thing!! ;)
Thanks Barry 😊👊🏻
Beautiful Lambo my friend.
Gauranga!
Thank you 😊😊😊
Fab job mate……..I don’t want to be “that guy” but I think you need to paint the mirror boots black. Other than that spot on……..if it were me though, i would put pop up headlight on…..and I would run it, its a Lambo after all. Did Tamiya do a Tessa??????? These 2 have long buried the hatchet, and seeing them both together is like heaven
Yeah that’s a great shout on the mirrors 😎👊🏻
Looking good.
You need to add those surrport bars Glenn those are to pull the sides in at the bottom, although how much they will help I'm not sure, the contach curves in quite a lot at the sides.
Yeah there on now my friend, they actually make quite a difference 😇👊🏻
Nice build. Me I would of added the 2 back pieces R, L as they are the back under carriage of the body with the exsaust pipes.
Everything is fitted now and I’ve finally trimmed the shell 😅👊🏻
G'day mate nice looks great in white don't know if like the pin stripping sorry mate. Yeah driver cockpit or smoke out windows tint would make the white pop mate
Thanks Lionel yeah I’m not sold on the tape myself tbh 🧐🤷🏼♂️
Awesome work👍👍
Thank you 😊
Love the cat cameo’s 🤩
Haha she was too shy unfortunately 🤣👊🏻
Very nice I always wanted one of these looks great 👍 👌
Thanks buddy 😊
Very nice Glenn, it does need a few more tiny details added to it like the indicators and maybe paint the door mirrors black, would look even better if you can make a driver cockpit fit into it 👍👍
Thanks Paul 😊👊🏻
Cool car. You should make a video of it running.
COOORRR!
Now that's Da Sheeeeee!!
Love this video! Top car and the result was stunning! Good decision with the line tape and those front lights look amazing 👏 hope they do a re re of this body shell 🤞🏻
Thanks Ben 😊👊🏻
The very first additions of these Lamborghini's was designed without the rear wing but personally i think these versions look better with it and some even had a front wing on the hood/boot just in front of the lights and glad to see you went with the white...Just look at her you've done an excellent job Glenn 😎👊💪👌🔥🔥🔥 gonna lightly smoke the windows ?
Thank you 😊
Yeah I’m hoping to get a cockpit in there but if I can’t then yeah I’ll smoke them 😅👊🏻
Beautiful job !
Thanks Ron 😊👊🏻
Therapeutic watching your builds! Corker of a car and looks excellent in white 🙂👍🏼
Thank you Owen 😊😊😊
Stunning looking
Thank you 😊
I think the line tape doesn't work too well because it's still a bit too wide, even 80's Lambos didn't have gaps this big ;D the tape is available in 0.4 as well.
Yeah a few have now said .4, I’ll get some on order 😅👊🏻
Well done, came out so nice. Classic car 👍🏻
Thank you I’m happy with it in white 🤩👊🏻
Great looking kit, I was definitely team Lambo as a kid. Just one thing mate, I think the front indicators should be on the outer side of the light buckets.
Haha yeah I didn’t notice that until it was pointed out in the comments 😂🤯🤯👊🏻
Hi Glenn, you’ve done a good job on the colour scheme and who as a boy, didn’t want a Lamborghini Countach as a boy. I think that perhaps a bit thinner line tape for the details of the door, boot and other creases. Only two days, it would have taken me much much longer, but, I know I am a lot slower. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. 😊😉😊
Thanks John and Merry Christmas to you 😊👊🏻
I have one of these but mine is white and ready to run. I took it apart and installed bearings. I also have a set of wheels and a yellow body that has been painted with panel lines. Thoughts?
Yeah I wouldn’t have the painting skills to do the panel lines 🤯👊🏻
I was always a Ferrari fan. The Lambo always seemed a bit too much. Great days for the super cars back then though. No stupid congestion charges or electric vehicles.
Red Ferrari Testarossa
Black Lambo
Silver Porsche 911 TC
Yellow Lotus Esprit Turbo
Yum yum
Lotus Esprit 😍😍😍
Use a peace of styrene and cut it out to match the top of the dash of your driver cockpit and then Trace where it is going to meet the body at the bottom of the windshield and that will fill in your Gap. I know I probably didn't explain it to where u understand what I'm talking about. Lol.
Yeah I know where you’re coming from Brian 😎👊🏻
Every teenage boy dreamt of this car and Farrah Fawcett. I got to drive neither. I do have a HellCat Redeye. Not quite the same. :-("
That is gorgeous 👍
Thanks John 😊👊🏻
Keep it going 👍
Mate looks fantastic
Thanks Mick 😊👊🏻
Looks nice n clean in white...but still think blue would of been better...also that boot shut line on bumper looks way to thick..
Very nice I would of gone black as prob would hide the rough edges etc
Thanks for the feedback my friend 😊👊🏻
That looks awesome
Thanks buddy 😊
Love the Lambo shell its an absolute machine, wonder if we will ever see it again as an anniversary release or if there will be a Countach LPI 800-4 on a TT-02 chassis 🤞
I’d love to see them do a couple more Lambo kits in the future 😇🤞🏻🤞🏻
