There are two major issues with break effect teams in my opinion: 1) You MUST correctly target a weakness on the enemies in order to break their bar, and only then does your team deal damage. If you don't have the right typing or weakness implant (and hopefully that weakness implant didn't run out of turns), then you essentially cannot do anything. 2) If a boss or any enemy like a trotter has weakness nullification, you just can't deal your break damage no matter what. No other team archetype struggles with that. At the end of the day, no matter what type of enemy you face, DoT, follow-up, and standard critical teams can just hit the enemy hard and win. Ruan Mei can support those types of teams, since she's flexible. But I don't think she's a must pull if you have other 5 star harmony characters. I'm skipping Ruan Mei because I already have Sparkle and Bronya, and I feel like that is plenty. I think Firefly and break teams in general are really strong when they have room to do their thing and work, but there are some situations where they have major limitations, so I'm skipping Firefly. It's so boring to save up currency and wait, but as F2P I know I'll be able to use that currency later.
