    Hi Brandon, I've looked at the ingredients and it has a lot of amino acids towards the bottom. Would you say this acts like a protein treatment for some people?

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад +3

      Great question but no protein concerns with Olaplex. In short…amino acids have to be linked to form protein. For example, olive oil is a great source of amino acids but that alone doesn’t make it a protein rich food. It typically has 0g of protein nutrition fact wise. I hope that helps

    I’m liking the whole collection. I use it every two weeks with my revair hair dryer and it’s been a nice break for my curls.

    I just did a whole Olaplex only hair day and let me tell you my hair feels healthier than it has in YEARS!!!! This stuff is sorcery! MAGIC!!
    8 is so deceiving, it feels almost like those newer gel facial moisturizers, it doesn’t feel much like a traditional rich and creamy deep conditioner! And those are so hit or miss, sometimes it feels like when you rinse it out, it all comes off the hair and no benefit is left behind 😒 But then others feel like too much and your hair is left lifeless and heavy, weighed down with whatever is left behind coated on the strands 😩 This stuff however doesn’t feel like much because your hair, or at least my hair, just drank it all in, immediately upon application! But whatever beneficial properties, their patented technology, absorbs deeply and stays in long after you rinse it out!! The feel and appearance of my hair after doing this whole product line is honestly second to none!!
    My rundown, for full disclosure, I applied 0 for 10 minutes with heat, added 3 for 45 minutes with heat. Then washed & conditioned with 4&5 as usual. I always use my regular conditioner before a deep conditioner, it’s just what works best for my hair. Then I went in with 8 to mids & ends only and applied heat for 15 minutes, then without heat for another 15 minute to allow it to cool down before I rinsed with cool to maybe lukewarm water. On my damp hair I used a tiny bit of each of 6&7, mixed is my preferred way of applying these products, and then styled as usual... Well, almost as usual... However I was able to skip finishing with my straightener like I normally would have to to smooth things out!! HOLY COW!!! With just blow drying alone my hair was left so visibly smooth, shiny, weightless, bouncy, strong, healthy and manageable!!! It honestly looked as though I walked out of a salon after getting a cut and a professional blow dry!!! I’m so so so impressed!!!! Even my dead ends were brought back to life!! Blown away is an understatement!!
    Then I did it on my daughter who is 16yrs old & has highlights, just to be sure that my ridiculously fantastic results weren’t just due to my hair being in such dire need of help that anything would have been an improvement 😂 But she indeed was left with an unbelievably healthy like-new head of hair too!!!
    I’m telling you this is magic!! 🪄 👏👏👏
    We will both be doing this full treatment at least once a month for the foreseeable future!!! ♥️

      @@TheBrandonExperience Aww, thanks! I love my long hair, I’ve had it basically my whole life. Cut it once to chin length and absolutely hated it! 😂
      But as I get older my hair is growing slower so I try to space my trims further apart, but in order to do that without it looking scraggly and breaking too much at the ends, it needs more TLC for maintenance. Olaplex has been a true game changer, you’re 💯 right about that! My hair now feels like it did in my 20’s! Long before I started having to dye my hair to hide my grays 😂 I’m just astonished this is THAT effective. There just isn’t anything else on the market quite like it.
      In November 2019, I did a big chop to about 3 inches above my bra line in the back, just a few inches longer than shoulder length. And that’s because it just really needed it, I’d been using heat styling too much and washing it way too much... But changed my routine to washing only twice a week and much less heat styling, even took a 3 month break from any heat styling tools altogether, and from then until now, a year and a half, my hair is now about 4 inches from my waist!!! And it looks fantastic!! And that’s all because of Olaplex!!!

    Can no. 8 be used under the hooded dryer?

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад +2

      That’s a great question! I have not done so yet, I have a steamer set up at my shampoo bowl so I process all treatments there now. It does not seem to need heat honestly. Over the years I have found some treatments separate and others work fine with heat. My rule is generally if it doesn’t say use heat...I don’t do it.

    • @NativeNYerChicHK
      @NativeNYerChicHK 3 года назад +2

      I did apply heat and the results were UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING!!! I do #0 and #3 under heat too and the boost that adding heat provides to the benefits of that treatment are really awesome! So I did it with #8, 15 minutes with heat but then 15 minute without, that was to allow it to cool down because I always rinse my deep conditioners out with cool to lukewarm water. But I always use a regular conditioner too before a deep conditioner, it’s just what my hair likes best. So I did it all to test out #8, 0,3,4,5, then 8, and including 6&7 to style afterwards. And holy smokes! You’d have thought I just walked out of a salon and got some sort of professional treatment, trim and blow dry! I didn’t even need to use my straightener afterwards to finish, because my hair after only blow drying was already THAT smooth & shiny, light & bouncy and healthy looking AND feeling!! Oh, and the body & movement was out of this world!!!
      This is what you hope a deep conditioner will do for your hair, it leaves only the best properties behind, it doesn’t weigh your hair down like some deep conditioners can. I’m an Olaplex fan, but this exceeded even my expectations!!!
