- 1 Hero Only With PERMANENT Abilities! BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - the hero ability choice mod turns hero abilities permanent at the expense of making them weaker to balance it out. What does this mean for the 1 hero test, as popularly requested by the comments?

I’m amazed at how well these are balanced. looking at footage before, the mod looks stronger but this is impressive
Well do remember this is solo tower which is completely different than the normal game. One thing could be completely balanced for solo tower, but incredibly strong when used with other towers to cover its weaknesses.

the thing about this is, is its better and worse in some cases. the burst of an ability can get you through some rounds better than if they were consistent, but this also goes vice versa. The mod did a pretty good job at covering this as it traded the huge burst damage for consistency. obviously, the consistent damage is going to be stronger in most cases but on something like 98 that burst ability might have more of an impact due to the chunk damage you need vs the slow and lackadaisical but consistent-er damage.
Edit: I want to also say that the bursts of damage are generally worse as the situations where burst damage is needed is very inconsistent and niche.
I really wonder how Sauda's sword charge would work in the mod.
I'm pretty sure it's just a slighly weaker version every couple seconds

I think maybe the creator of this mod might've actually balanced the mod based on his own tests of this.

My first thought was Benjamin permanently doubling cash and lowering every bloom by a stage
It's quite balanced at base, but the secret here is that the permanent abilities scale with attack speed.
Just adding an alch buff or overclock will likely make them significantly more powerful than normal.
I think Quincy should get a massive pierce buff if Ninja Kiwi wants to make him any good.

They don’t want to make him too good otherwise you won’t buy any of the other hero’s and you won’t play as much because you have less options

@@Barely_Edited It's true he won't bring utility but having a tower that pops basically all bloon types be too strong means that you can spend all of your money on other utility towers instead.

Striker is fairly balanced in solo but i think in a real game he's still busted cause level 10 is 50% cooldown on bombs and mortar which is crazy strong compared to the long cooldown single reset

I think some of them might be better if instead of being basically a built in tech bot and thats it, were actual passives like obyn having much stronger projectiles instead of brambles and striker stunning briefly with all attacks
There are two choses you can chose between, one that's basically a teach bot and on that's a more creative take on the ability

Damage Heroes should be able to at least solo to 40 imho. Damage Heroes like Quincy are in desperate needs of buffs. Like Quincy lvl 4 should be arrows do +1 damage instead of literally like 2 range (50 -> 52). With that one change, I can see Quincy at least reaching the first MOAB, and depending on the map, possibly beating it and the insides. To balance this, nerf his XP gain so that you are gonna need to either build a few more towers or throw some money at Quincy for leveling pre-40.
The reason Ben was censored was because both got to round 6… making the average 6

in water i just use pat to spite brickell, her single target attack is so bad
You shouldn't use her for the main attack, you use her because mega mine is a nuke ability that can blow up entire rounds.

Brickell is just bad in general, and her mega mine and mines damage are usually counterproductive. Her mega mine ends up doing too much damage to rounds like 98 which makes things pop into bfbs and moabs which runs through not giving your defense a chance to break up the round. Her main attack does not survive the early game rounds let alone mid game rounds, not even mentioning how ridiculously rng she is. She DIES to round 28 AND 30!!! It's sad and she needs a buff. Like ok, her level 3 ability is great, but it doesn't make up for how slow she levels and how she doesn't help at all otherwise.
Brickell is really good, buffing subs which are pretty much the best tower to start on CHIMPS is super useful for early / mid and mega mine can be hard to use but is extremely powerful on harder rounds especially with stalling.
She's the best chimps hero in the game, mega mines when stacked can blow up 98 to ceramics then just use snowstorm to freeze all the ceramics.
