Great video man. just one question, when you use Steven slate drums did you have to install any drivers for the module or did it just work as I can't seem to get mine to work with ssd. My VST tells me my drum are connect but they won't trigger in ssd. My old drum kit still seems to work with ssd so just asking for some advice. Thank you.

HI. You have to connect the drums with the USB MIDI connector to a computer and use a vst plugin: they have a much superior sound than the factory one .
Awesome playing! The kit sounds quite nice with this VST. One question... What is the side of the kit rack as you use it? (Or the carpet underneath it). I am thinking of buying the same kit but I don't know if I will will have enough room. I can probably spare only 1.20m per 1m.
Have you ever had problems with the triggers not keeping up on fast double bass notes or snare rolls? I’m tempted to buy this kit, but I’ve heard that some of the cheaper E-drums sometimes have problems keeping up with hits. Thanks!
@@LHawkesDrums yes, I opened a case with Thomann's support once my drums are still on warranty period. My kick drum pad had an issue and they sent me a spare part as a replacement. The new one is working fine, no more double hitting!

Nice playing! I just bought the same kit, but are experiencing some issues. Your hihat sound really good. When I play it with double strokes it doesn't trigger all the hits correctly. How can one fix this? Is it something in the settings? Thanks for your help.

Hi! First of all Congrats for Your fine performane... I have a tecnhical question about millenuium MPS-850. I'm planing to buy this kit, and use it with various VST drum plugins in Ableton. In every documentation and techniacal details I read: the ride and the crash cymbals works with choke (hand touch stop) function. I just want to know is it works or not? What is Your experience in it? One of my friends have this kit but he has problem with it. He was very surprised when I was showing Him the docs and websites that talks about choke function. I was looking for test videos about it with no succes. So dear Raffaele, is it working or not? I hope it is not a false information in the kit's technical details! Hi thanks for the comment. :) The choke function works fine on all cymbals (even hi hat) but only with the stock sound banks of the module. With vst this function seems disabled. I hope in a software upgrade for the fix soon.

Ciao Alessandro, grazie. Guarda, qualsiasi edrum prendi, il pad cassa potrebbe dare noie a causa delle vibrazioni trasmesse a terra. Nel caso della Millenium comunque il tutto è molto silenzioso (piatti a parte, è come battere su un cartone, per renderti l'idea). Ad ogni modo io ho risolto il problema utilizzando un tappeto della Meinl e sotto ho posizionato un pannello fonoassorbente Copopren ad altissima densità (lo trovi da leroy merlin o similari).

Hi, it's very easy to make it sound like in the video: Download Steven Slate 5.5 free version, buy a usb midi cable (refer to the module instructions) and connect it to the pc. You can use Steven Slate or any other drum plugin, using it with a DAW like Sonar, Cubase etc. Just connect the cable to your pc and in 99% of cases you are ready to play.

Ciao, innanzitutto complimenti per il video. Ho un problema per quanto riguarda l'hi hat: quando è chiuso rimane un riverbero che non rende il suono pulito e "reale" come dovrebbe essere. I collegamenti sono corretti e non capisco il motivo, hai avuto anche tu questo difetto? Se sì come l'hai risolto?
Ciao, ti ringrazio :) Prova ad aumentare l'altezza del piatto rispetto al sensore, quando accedi la batteria devi accendere anche il sensore e tenere il piatto aperto.

please please could someone help me out here ... i bought this kit a while ago and still can't manage to connect it to my macbook laptop // you just connect it trough Midi USB right ?? nothing special needs to be done on the module ?? and then Millenium 850 appears as midi device in your daw ? i've sended thomann allready that i don't know what it is but not with midi in or out // midi usb // both not giving any signal. please help me out here. i have SSD waiting for me , for a while :D

Hi, to prevent the kick pad from slipping, I used velcro and a 10 kg handlebar weight :)

Thanks a lot! I fixed the rebound changing the stock 2-ply head with a 3-ply Roland head. Very nice and natural rebound!

@@almaofficial9309 ciao, se lo metti su ON hai la simulazione del Charleston aperto/chiuso. Se resta su OFF il charly ti suona sempre "aperto".

@@Ricardo-vg9ex Hey, I'm jumping into the discussion! I was able to figure out how the choke function works - it triggers a certain signal in drumkit. Thus, during normal hits on the first crash, midi notes CRSH1 and CRSH EDGE were triggered (first one, then the other). When I grabbed the edge of the cymbal with my hand, the midi note CRSH 1 was triggered. So you can set midi note CRSH1 for cymbal choke. But one problem - if you hit symbal normally with drumstick, and it trigger note CRSH1, then it will sound like symbal choke

Inside sdd5 you go to map, save preset and you ser where is your preset stored and you send that file that finish in .iom
