Curious that the design of the crown on the reverse changed in 1888 to what we would now consider to be a King's crown, and remained so the end of Victoria's reign and that of her son Edward VII. One might almost think that Victoria intended to abdicate after her Jubilee year in 1887, in favour of a new King.

Don't know how my comments about the crowns finished up here. They should be on your video of the values of all the sixpence. Nothing to do with farthings, of course.

Really enjoyed the video, especially having recently bought an album of 99 farthings. Great to compare from 1860 onwards (I think there are a few missing from the run). The earliest in the album is a George II 1754 in nice condition and good 1806 George III. Thanks again

Wow! All so very cool. I like the last year of the seated Brittania and the first year of the design change. I'm guessing it is a wren? Also. I've never understood where the farthing or the shilling fall into place in monetary value. ??

      Yes both designs are cool
The Farthing is 1/4 of a penny so 48 farthings to a shilling and 960 in a £

The Wren farthings are the more desirable farthings. I have all farthings from 1895 to 1956. I am missing a few Victorian farthings, but I have the 1863 which is rare
