Well to be fair this is just their school life and not a killing game.(minus Natsumi/Sato) so they don't have to be on edge either each other and most likely has me to get to know each other and be more comfortable around each other. Plus she was bullied by Natsumi since middle school so that's most likely just trauma, especially since the daughter of a yakuza leader. Though I do agree her character was pretty lackluster here compared to the game, though again could just compared to the atmosphere.

@Ave it's true that it seems more logical but I think there were other solutions because natsumi is also part of the kuzuryu clan and had a sort of misplaced pride and an inferiority complex since she is afraid to become useless with her brother so it was sure that she was not serious in saying that she was going to kill her and that sato must know it since they knew each other before hops peak as said mahiru so yes they both messed up but sato is the least forgivable because it is she who committed a crime that could have been avoided if she had acted better in the face of the "unstable" state of natsumi

Monokuma framed her because he knew Fuyuhiko would go psycho and even if she did what Fuyuhiko and Peko did to her on jabberwock island was in my opinion the coldest murder of the second game. Setting someone up beating them to death and using her corpse as a prop to frame her best friend was cruel and Fuyuhiko would be the first to admit that. Thats why he stuck a knife in his chest.

These characters have been long since dead and have probably been sitting in a morgue for like years or have decomposed in a coffin under the ground or something
