    Yemoja has really entered my life lately and she means much to me! Thank you! Being a white male, it is not easy for people to understand and seek the Mother Yemoja! May I be guided sister!

    Peace Goddess. Vulnerability. Just learned about this Art not too long ago as I was learning about myself. I'm still learning & growing in this part. It's amazing the things you learn about yourself when you're ready to live in your authenticity.
    Thank you for sharing your wisdom 🙏 Blessings

    So true. When my daughter was born and I realized whether she lived or died (physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, etc) depended mainly on me (she has a dad but I’m her mom) I was forever changed. Later on, I realized that was true for myself at this point in my life as well and was forever changed again. Accepting vulnerability and femininity have been life changing for me.

    I’m going thru this right now. Letting my pride aside in order to ask for help. Vulnerability means you have to humble oneself and be transparent in hopes to grow from the situation

    I appreciate you sharing this. Since Yemoja connected with me, I feel like I am being brought back to the most feminine part of me. I forgot I was this vulnerable and soft after years of being single.

    I am 17, and for the past 9 months have been called to the Orisha, I see them in dreams, through people- in song. It is very heartwarming to hear you speak on vulnerability and Yemoja. I once saw her come to me in the appearance of a baby doll with a blue dress in a dream. Thank you for making this video. I know now to strengthen my relationship with self, and Orisha- I must be vulnerable, and allow myself to feel. thanks once more, Ase oooo!

    i am a young girl (20) and i've been guided to learn more about orishas and yoruba tradition. it has blown me away how beautiful it is. im at a place where i dont know what to believe in and its taking a toll on my mind. but this feels good, and familiar. is it wrong for me to worship the orishas if it isn't my culture? all i know is that my momma is black and indian, my father is puerto rican and black. i dont want to be disrespectful to this beautiful religion/spirituality. you inspire me in every way with your videos, by the way. peace and blessings to you!

    It's weird how your videos keep popping up for me according to what I really need to hear... It's been like this since my grandma passed in January... Thank you for being here... Talking about "African dance", I don't really know Mambo besides having seen it in films but what you said about how it made you feel made me think of how people raised in other cultures (usually heavily influenced by European mindsets) even if they're of African descent, feel so uncomfortable when they come in contact with the kind of dance we have in the French-Caribbean and French Guiana... Even if you're dancing with a complete stranger, this music (zouk) and the various ways we dance zouk require from both dancers that they allow themselves to be vulnerable. Indeed, you are letting your bodies come into very close contact, so much so that many outsiders get confused and sometimes start thinking that because someone danced like this with them, they can expect something more at the end of the evening, while for us, it's not even about that (although, the sexual energy in this type of music and dance is undeniably there, this is a dance first...It can turn into an ice-breaker/date prelude only if you want it to). I'm wondering if our enslaved ancestors brought this with them (or the framework for it) as a way to communicate their strength and vulnerability to each other without uttering a single word... Or if it is meant to give us access to something more (saying this because if you really let go of every bit of self-consciousness and let the music and dance "carry you", it can be as though you're levitating and you can almost perceive things you wouldn't otherwise... )

    Vulnerablbility has been a huge blockage for me. I used to be an A type personality. I have grown and I owe that to a few life experiences. The only time I have and am vulnerable is through dance since being a kid. Why? Dance has been my sacred space, my zone, my world. It is just me and the place where the music takes me. In business, relationships, associate ships, friendships, etc.. I was never vulnerable.

    • @TirraOmilade
      @TirraOmilade  4 года назад +1

      She is such a natural part of us it is hard to make a mistake. As I work with her energy over time it is about what is the most nurturing thing you can do for yourself to make sure you continue living your destiny? Also, what can you do to walk fully in self-love and care? It is always decent and in order to work with the water element. Honestly, sister, her energy is so pervasive there are multiple ways to work with her but this is just a taste. Hope this helps!
