Unfortunately, the hon'ble CJI is not exposed to the ways our district courts function. The first interface of our judiciary is so woefully inferior in quality and infrastructure. Whether we call as X, Y, or Z, it matters little. How they function at a pace worse than snails', is what affects the most to hapless litigants. Infrastructure is abysmally poor. Courts are strewn with dusty papers, files( talking of Alipore district courts in West Bengal). It's so gloomy. So hopeless. The CJI cannot even visualize. God save litigants. High courts' monitoring over functioning of the district courts appears to be virtually non- existent.

Yes, it should be called inferior judiciary. Everyday SC has to pass comments on unfair judgements made by lower courts. Justice is the most expensive thing in this nation which only rich can afford.

No it should not be called as inferior judiciary only because the Supreme Court overrules its judgement. By your logic district judiciary should be called as superior court because many of the cases are not overruled by the Supreme Court😂

For illustration, if House help /house maids ko house keeping or house keeping executive kehne se kya duniya badal jayegi. Bahut saari companies telephone operator ko customer care executive kehte hai, usise kya farq padta hai.
Judicial hierarchy can't be denied and also true, their order, supervision is under higher courts.Thats the readon, only higher court judgement are precedent

Process of appointment in judiciary is most corrupt , in lower judiciary vaccancy comes in 4-5 years and after that they need experience of 3 years practice
