Sounds like a lot of work went into putting together Starport! Very interesting will check it out
Agreed
We're working hard to make Starport the best dev environment for building sovereign blockchain apps.
Thank you so much for this! 🔥
Good summary. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Great video! Have you worked with the polkadot/kusama SDK? Sounds very similar to Starport... Curious as dot and cosmos architecture are pretty similar.
Same question here
They are similar in a way. The main difference is that Cosmos/Starport empowers devs to build apps as sovereign (independent) blockchains that can still talk to each other through the protocol called IBC, without having a central (relay) chain between them.
@@dfadeev Hey. That’s interesting. If there is not relay chain in between do every blockchain listen to all other blockchains? Also, if that’s the case how one blockchain knows the existence of another blockchain in the Cosmos network?
@@cryptonative A cross-chain transaction (tx) containing a packet of data is broadcasted to a chain Foo with a channel specified as N. It goes into an outgoing queue. An off-chain program called a relayer watches several chains, including chain Foo. A relayer picks up a tx from a queue on a chain Foo, and sends a data packet to a chain connected with chain Foo through a channel N. The corresponding chain is Bar. Once the tx is processed successfully on a chain Bar, an acknowledgment is sent back. If an acknowledgment is received on a chain Foo, one logic is executed, if after a certain number of blocks to acknowledgment is received, another logic is executed (like unlocking sent tokens, because they haven't been received on a chain Bar).
In short, no, chains don't watch other chains (because that's non-deterministic), but they have a concept of channels that connect chains. Relayer do the heavy lifting.
@@dfadeev Very clear. Thank you
Julien, could you please create a react app connecting to starport? a TODO dapp?
Hi. I would like to create a simple blockchain on cosmos. Here are the features: - Number of fixed cryptocurrency: 51,000,000 - No inflation. - Validation of transactions by my team. - Staking. Here is my problem: I would like to know which module of the cosmos sdk to use to create the 51,000,000 native cryptocurrencies of my blockchain?
Have you found an answer? Let me know im interested in that
Hi, has Starport renamed as Ignite CLI? Anything changed besides the name?
love your videos. Will you have a black friday deal on your courses this year?
Yes!
Can you do a code overview of OlympusDAO please!!!
Good idea!
Thanks
Welcome
Top video, u still work in cosmos?
Thanks! I am focused on Ethereum tech
Interesting
63rd...Thanks
Well done
