I bought these about 20 years ago and repacked the insides with high-end anti resonance material after about 25 hrs. of listening.. I’ve played them over 400 hrs since.. They sound better than most any $1000 speaker I have👍 If you were sitting here hearing these gems with your eyes closed, they’d easily fool you into thinking the same thing.. These put the Sony SSCS5 & the JBL Studio 530’s to shame.. No matter what owners of those speakers spew.. I own both myself👍 If you’d like to hear the JBL’s let me know.. They just don’t pair well with a lot of my Amplifiers, except the Marantz HD-Amp1 or the Yaqin Tuber.. I didn’t try my vintage Realistic STA-2500, but will soon.. If you decide to get these, just repack & you’ll be rewarded with Audio Nirvana ❤️On my vintage Pioneer SX-1250 & Sansui 9090 they brought Eargazmic Nirvana 4sure! I ended up buying 2 more pairs & gave 1 to a Son & 1 to a good friend, they are just that good! Best2You All.. Enjoy The Music ❤️
They need no Subwoofer when hooked up to a Marantz Amplifier that’s 4sure👍 And of course using a Subwoofer depends on your preference and musical/source/Amp/Speakers/etc. selection.. I use a Sub sparingly as not to drown out or over take the musicianship .. I like it to blend in as it should. BASS is a compliment to your music.. And not all music has lots of Bass so why would you add it? And I know Bass.. My best friend is a 65 year Master Bass Player❤️ He played major events.. Too much can get your blood boiling👈 I remember times the Bass was so powerful it run across the floor and up the spine.. Scary.. My ears almost exploded😂 No joke., So add a Sub according to your desire because music is your music the way YOU like it, right? You only have YOU to please.. Best2You.. Thanks for the questions.. Stay in touch👍

Hi, thanks for the demo of these speakers. How are they in bass? Plz share your inputs. Does it absolutely need sub or not really necessary?
