It was ok... They tried to make it a love story though.
Great short. You even paid attention to the little details, such as the scientist removing his shoes to avoid making noise: I love it when writers, directors, and producers show people realistically.
As horror fans, we often have this kind of armor that manifests itself when we watch movies. Because characters act unrealistically, we say, "I would never make this mistake/I'd never die like that/that was dumb, they deserve to die", and we can make ourselves less scared or feel better when watching a movie. It's why lists like Top Stupid Decisions in Horror Movie exists because character decisions often defy logic. But when movies show characters doing everything right, making the best choices, acting intelligently or doing everything they can to survive and things STILL goes downhill, that's bloody horrifying.

Too nice shoes for a scientist.
I always say that I want to make a movie that has no mistakes. No stupid characters doing things that no intelligent human would do, just a solid movie that viewers aren’t screaming at the entire time.
Another example of mankind "science-ing" himself into the grave. Cool story. Great sets and environs. The characters were well developed (especially for a short) and sympathetic. The final scene robbed all hope. Very well done. Congratulations.
*What is mean by Science-ing. Science is everything and everywhere. Even God can't explain Science.*
The chopper crash was really great, and I appreciate the reward for watching until the end of the credits.
MY POWER LEGIT WENT OUT AT 11:21! It was just a blink but I think I nearly had a heart attack. I loved the film, but now I'm scared for my life lol

The ending reminded me of the ending to The Thing (1982). You simply assumed that the two guys left weren't going to make it and would freeze once the fires went out.
Actually that was my first though. But when i saw the end of the intro i changed my mind.
I almost forgot that I was watching a short, well done to all that were involved
yet another bloody excellent short. fantastic all round. Amazing character development in such a short time. Congratulations to all involved in the production. Worth an oscar for best short film,

This is the second time I have watched this, and the ending never changed!! It was just the same as it was the last time! I guess i will just have to watch it again!! Very well done guys!

I was sure this was gonna turn out to be a video game with zombies in it. Good job; loved the whole “girl rescues geeky guy” love story.
Nice! Had my attention the whole length of the film, wondering if they were gonna land the helicopter, or get eaten, I even felt the chemistry between the 2 main characters. 👍👍

Finally, a horror film where someone takes off their shoes instead of clumping around.
To be honest taking your shoes off in any situation other than this. Will most likely result in you dieing. A foot injury in anyway in any horror scenario will result in death.

1:30 in and I am impressed; she has her two yankee flags right! Most films have a left arm patch on both left and right, giving a 'retreating' flag, which is bad. Attention to details like that is appreciated.
Well done. Despite starting in the midst of things, it managed to build suspense. Good details. Believable chemistry between the principle players. Deserves a full-length movie.

Cryptic and sympathetic without being maudlin. The final scene reminded me of that of "Day the World Ended" in which Richard Denning and Lori Nelson head out into a post apocalyptic wilderness holding hands. Also similarly to that film, I felt oddly and unexpectedly sorry for the humanoid creatures somehow. And you did it without excessive violence and gore. Good film. Mainstream Hollywood could use you guys' vision and talent.
The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo and another great she played in as a womans bodyguard in the Middle East!!!! Great Actress!!!

Excellent! I'm very impressed at the amount of story packed into less than 15 minutes, with great filming, sets, & acting.
Pretty good. Had to suspend a lot of disbelief about her being able to fly a chopper in a storm by remote control without any telemetry, though.
This would be an awesome video game
One minute he says "don't kill them its my life's work "and literally 60 seconds later says "we have to blow them up". I'm confused.

That's the beauty of these endings. You can decide yourself how it ends, really. A mile, though, yeah, they will get lost.

I don't think they can survive for very long outside because of the extreme weather, it's highly possible that they could die before reaching their destination and they left the door open so it's possible that those mutant beings can chase after them and kill them.

realistic. The end veered pretty hard toward hopelessness,🥺 but I can’t start my day like that, 😞 so I’m just going to assume they made it......There!!! All better! 😊

Not bad.I can see tbe back story now.A research lab in the arctic.An experiment gone rogue.Total loss of all control and hope and the last scientists left to contain and survive said failure.Kinda The Thing meets 28 days later.I like it.Definitely potential for a full length film.2 👍👍...

ooooh, did anyone notice after the credits (@13:17) what appears to be a burnt creature still alive? you only see the arm and its hand curl into a fist as it approaches the open door that the main characters left through. part 2...? admittedly, i usually don't even watch the credits but i'm making dinner and my hands were dirty so i couldn't stop it and go to the next short.
Since I knew the channel I decided to binge-watch (kind of) the great amount of missing shorts I’d lost along the way.
PS. Screamfest never let me down
Very well done. I like a good scary story, but without blood and guts, so I appreciate that this isn't a gore-fest. Unlike one of the other Commentors below, I took the exit of Jane and Daniel into the snow as a hopeful sign. I think they make to the tower. :)

Predictable, but enjoyable and otherwise quite well done. I liked the actors, and that it didn't focus on the monsters, but their relationship.
How did you find it predictable? I on the other hand, predicted they would both die. Or that there would be a twist in the end.

At 6:05 run for it, make it to the helicopter and then run for it ? And if the helicopter crashes, where are their jackets ? I don’t think they understand that they can freeze to death.
