Honestly would really recommend the show. The movie is non-canon and the show is leagues better. The episode that you were watching in the beginning is from S11. One of the weaker seasons of the show. Nearly all of the seasons prior are amazing tho, especially for a kids show

Sitting at 96 percent currently think the game is great and fun but could been a lot better had they followed the show and not the movie
