    I have a question if you could pls help:
    Dec 31: engaged a tax advisor who calculated income taxes of $1000 for fiscal year 2017, payable on January 21, 2018.
    Journal entries:
    tax expense -> 650 dr
    Tax payable -> 650 cr
    Where did the 650 come from and why is it not a 1000 like in the question?
