Hi , All Chub have to be returned unharmed as it is law in the UK. On fish we can keep for the table are game fish like brown trout, sea-trout and salmon when in season and with the correct licence to do so. Thanks Paul.
Is it possible to tell me Where on the river wear his is? As I’ve wanted to fish the river for awhile and get my first chub and others like trout and such, I’m near Chester le street I’ve heard near here is good but not 100%
Hi Alex I've had Chub throughout the Rivers Wear from bishop Auckland area down to Chester Le Street when clubs had those waters. Excellent trout,grayling,sea trout and salmon to be caught around bishop angling club water but membership is very expensive . 👍

Do you eat the chubs? We use them for bait here. Just curious if they taste like any other carp.
