I really respect Portugal for leaving this beautiful landscapes intact. I hope you did not catch a cold. Awesome filming once again. It was nice to escape the snow for a while.
I’m not so sure they are beyond criticism!
As an example, the town of Olhau pumps all its raw sewage into the beautiful Ria Formosa.
Much of the coast is blighted by ugly hotel development. The town of Albufeira is dominated by inebriated tourists!
The Portuguese should be proud of the fact that (i) there is little litter (ii) most of the Algarve is well policed and they have low crime levels when compared for example to Spain. (iii) they are a peaceful and kind population

I was watching the video and was just about to say to my hubby that we could do the kayaking, it looked so peaceful and then you capsized!!!!

Only today in Guia, I found a little Cat Sanctuary exactly the same with the cat cut outs in the wood ‘tent’! I asked who feeds these cats and I was told a little Portugese lady that has done it for a long time, how lovely ☺️

The horizontal strata/layers of the cliffs is ominous(millions of years of sediment compression right before your eyes) and the color range is awesome.....Obrigado....

This is hands down a beautiful beach. Cliffs and caves and gorgeous views. Water is a bit grubby of sea weeds close to shore.
This is the Portugal I have always wanted to visit. Travel is off the table for now and until when.
You still can make it happen: Depending where you are, the Algarve is still accepting tourists and there is not that much of a problem always respecting the restrictions, as you can see there are always some tourists and thankfully not so many as usual!!! As i hope it will never go back to look like an invasion! Cheers

Hi Chris and Carol. The walk that you've done is called "The Seven Hanging Valleys". It runs from Praia da Marinha to Benagil. Beautiful walk in spring, summer and autumn. I have done it there and back and really enjoyed it. Stunning colours! ❤
The Seven Hanging Valley walk actually starts/finishes in Carvoeiro.

Yeah so far we pretty much never see anybody everywhere we go so has been very easy to social distance. Trying to avoid busy cities though at the moment etc, seems like coastal beach places are pretty empty

Yes, you can swim from the beach to the cave, but it is not advisable to do so. It's easy to go from the beach there, but to return is very difficult because of the current and usually people that try to swim back to the beach get tired of swimming against the tide and not moving from the same place, get stuck in the cave and have to be rescued.

I can't believe you both tipped in the kayak, but then I don't like the on top ones. Lanette and myself have 12 kayaks that are excursions. We've been doing it for 8 years now, just not last year, bad on my heart. I love the area you were at and everything was beautiful. I did feel bad for you both and Poor Carol was just shacking then I noticed the go pro was shacking and I was like, get out and in some sun quick. great, great drone footage in all the videos. Btw the tight has to be low any time you go to the caves and swimming seems to be more heavy as it looks like.
