    You mentioned the angle it sits with the stand! Your attention to detail is amazing. Can't wait to get mine. Great video

      That was just an estimation. It's probably somewhere between 25 and 15 degrees.

    I think Stahlwille are also making an Advent Calendar, tempted to get one.

      Yeah I was thinking about it, but it is a little more pricey than the Wera one, but looks to have an App you can use on your phone in conjunction with it.

    Hi GTR, thanks for the nice review. Will this ratchet www.kctoolco.com/wera-073230-bit-ratchet-1-4-drive/ fit with the includes item? One more question, if I will also buy added socket size (11, 12 & 14) will they fit with the items included in the calendar? Thanks

    • @GermanToolReviews
      @GermanToolReviews  6 лет назад

      Yes, the bit ratchet will fit any 1/4" drive bit, but those included with this kit might seem a little long for a bit ratchet. Yes, you can replace the sockets with any 1/4" drive socket as all of the square mounts are the same in the soft case.

    Nice review. It's too bad they didn't include a couple more of the larger size 1/4" drive sockets. A 12mm and maybe a 14mm would have been nice.

      @nijuy3 6 лет назад

      Hi blindbatG34, sorry can I ask where you usually use the 12mm and 14mm? Will adding this complete the set? Thanks

    • @BlindBatG34
      @BlindBatG34 6 лет назад

      nijuy3 My wife and I both drive a Subarus. The majority of Subaru fasteners are 10mm, 12mm and 14mm. I thought the toolkit would be great to toss in the glovebox. Thinking about it 14mm is probably a little big for 1/4" drive. I might buy a 12mm socket separately and replace one of the smaller sockets in the kit.

    Very nice "Advent Season" gift. But something going wrong. Tool set with sockets
    and no ratchet included? How it works? Wera save on the wrong things, imho.

      I guess they want you to use them like a nut driver or box end spanner.

    I have the Wiha 4mm set (135 pieces I think) in the metal case. It's easily one of my favourite pieces of kit, but the anti-static bit holder included is horrible. It just feels like a turd made of fiberglass. I would love to buy the Wera 4mm bit holder just to complement my Wiha bit set.

      Agreed! I have the same German set and I can’t believe Wiha hasn’t made a better handle. I also purchased a wiha/xiaomi 4mm Chinese set that just came out. Handle is gorgeous, smooth, aluminum and magnetic-but the bits are terrible if you compare to a German made wiha set. Can’t wait for Wera to sell the micro driver or Wiha steps up

    Is the 822 micro bit holder available anywhere?

  • @iamdorusyt

    I just got this set and I really like it. I just find it funny that socket 5 & 6 are included, M2,3 and M3,5 are not very common I think. What I found weird is that sock 7 is missing which I didn't notice at first, but M4 is pretty common. So I don't really get why they did put that one in instead of 5 or 6. Is there an industry where they use M2,3 and M3,5 more often than 4M?

      I don't know where you use those numbers but here in Hungary most M3 bolts and nuts use 6 hex drive, and M4 uses 8.

    What is the general thought on this kit? Is it good value for what you get?
    I am going to order one and hopefully i can restrain myself and open one day at a time.

      Some parts are going to be generally more useful. The 4mm bits and 1/4" bits I find would be get the most use out of this kit. The L-wrench and sockets not as much but still usable. It is a good value if you add up each of the items seperately, with some items not even being for sale yet. The 1/4" bit holder retails for around $25 alone.

    Just wondering if there is enough room in the toolkit to replace the 815r handle for an 816ra?

    • @GermanToolReviews
      @GermanToolReviews  6 лет назад

      Probably not cleanly, the 815r is 119mm long and the 816ra is 142mm long. I suppose it could work with it sticking out the side of the case a bit.

      German Tool Reviews ah thats kind of a shame,thanks for the reply though. have been thinking about investing in a few decent tools and have had my eye on the wera toolsets for a while even before i recently found your channel.they make a lot of nice looking sets but it seems like most of them have a lot of overlapping/same bits.

      I'm sure Wera will start selling the micro driver soon, especially since others I have talked to really like it.

    I miss the Nokia Adventskalender with mini chocolate cell phones, or gummibear tools from different companies.

    I have few Wera tool sets and they are nice quality; however, I think most of the sets are way overpriced given size and amount of tools included.

    • @Wolf_Larsen
      @Wolf_Larsen 6 лет назад

      JustIce and overpriced given that they are usually made in either the Czech Republic or Taiwan.
