Agreed. Sometimes awards are given to ppl who NEED ( therapy/ lollipop/ bribe) them , not to ppl who deserve it. Dravid had the team's welfare at heart and that the whole cricketing world knows! Never cried coz he wasn't allowed to get his century or the media's blind eye. Lord Krishna would love him. Dravid gave his best ( aim) never cared about the result ( his personal score) . Detachment , grace, humility and a balanced temperment. What a man !

Invariably my most favourite cricketer of all time..i was 15 year old when i had the opportunity to watch him play in nagpur VCA stadium..the technic n class n perfection in his shots made him look like god on ground..was fortunate to c him play on the ground in real..fortunate to have been born in the times when dravid was at his peak in batting and the helm of his career 😍
