Very nice performance, the 2nd and 3rd are very nice horses and will win big races in the future.

I like the winner for the Leger. He is a huge animal, who will improve plenty with another 4 months of sun (hopefully) on his back. The second is a much neater horse, who is probably already close to the finished article. I wouldn't be surprised if Highbury is brought back in trip to a mile and a half.
Doncaster is invariably soft/heavy for the Ledger and AOB has said previously that Illinois got beaten at Saint Cloud and Leopardstown because of the heavy ground as he's a good mover which was very evident today on good to firm.On the other hand Los Angeles won that race in Saint Cloud on very soft which is the French equivalent of heavy.Los Angeles sire is Camelot whose progeny thrive the further they go and has an entry in the Irish Ledger.

Ryan is going to have a tough decision for the Leger after this. Highbury was green as grass and surely has more improvement in him than the battle hardened winner.
