As far as cartridges go, I’m a big fan of Mast, for the price I can’t really beat em, they’re colored but they’re clear enough to where u can see exactly what your doing, never had a barb issue, packages are always well sealed and never damaged, the ink injection is always 100% I never get any skips and since they are clear I can always tell when to re dip before I do a faded line, super quiet, the components are always very secure to each other which also is nice not just for the noise but also in that the needles don’t wiggle inside the cartridge at all even when speed lining or whip shading, last favorite thing is that almost any size u need u can buy full boxes of and not variety packs that your gonna have a lot of loosies afterwards in
@@Cody2nd i love dragonhawk. their machines are good and better if ur on a budget. they’re very good for the price. so i definitely recommend them especially for beginners.
Your videos are fantastic! I really enjoy how you explain your processes and how open you are unlike a lot of others who gate keep the art. Also radishes with home salsa, perfect healthy snack.
Ive been noticing all the favorite artists I subscribe to also have comments by you!! Kwadron keeps coming up, and they are hard to find here so i remembered your video and just now came back to it... and plan on trying out your favorite needles because your opinion is usually spot on!!
I try to interact with other artists as much as I could. At the moment I’m using black claw cartridges and they are at the moment my favorite but not on this list
I really enjoy content like this. Would you be able to do another video like this but featuring a wider range of Cartridges? I want to hear feedback on the Dynamic Spades cartridges and the new Triton needles by Peak (Which I actually loved the tight 3s they have but they are PRICEYYY so I really haven't tried many of them), Precision and Color lock. I also want to hear feedback on cheaper cartridges like Big wasp, Solong and Dragonhawk/WJX that apprentices may use at first. I really loved your insight on Peak Blood and Quarts because I personally feel like the industry is flooded with people who are sponsored and swear by Peak cartridges.
Pretty big fan of good guy, so thank you for that recommendation. I've been using them for about 6 months or so now. Just a warning to others t-tech doesn't have a membrane but they have announced that they are redoing their first gen with one so I'm looking forward to that.
Same thing with the EZTAT2 cartridges, very inconsistent, ink flow is hit and miss, also fills like you're digging in the skin. Gr8 vids bro, we appreciate your time and efforts to educate people about the industry 🙏
I have an interesting point to make .. test it with your cartridges, run them dry for a minute and than closely inspect the tiny plastic dust and scratch lines under needle from rubbing on the plastic ... so I thought ok either it doesn't happen when there's ink for lubrication or it does and no one ever knows because once you add ink you can't see the dust , is this dust fine enough to be deposited in the skin I wonder ..... steel tips and tubes may be proven safer in the future ,.
Maybe there are quality differences between Europe and US. In the shop I work we use Kwadron all day long, as well as Cheyenne Cartridges and sometimes Elite as well. I think it depends on the artists also. I will never use T-Tech, I don’t like how they feel, I don’t like how it puts the ink in the skin. Not long ago we threw out some boxes of T-Tech cartridges, because no one in the shop wanted to use them in the last 5 years.
I started with t tech but they never fit well on my cheyene machine. Went to prime loved them. Moved to Hawaii and the only needles that were readily accessible locally was peak still use them and never had an issue.. every cartridge membrane is built differently and yoh do have to get used to each cartridge..diferen pressure and speed. The only reason I don’t use Cheyenne or kwadrqns cartridges is because they’re too expensive 😂
i like cheyenne's open liners, their needles are very sturdy and good inkflow, love the tension on them aswel. For 0403 and 0603 i use davinciv2's and everything else kwadron. I'm interested in the mast ot fyts
Uni-Cart with stabilise system are a good recommendation 👌 Also you could try ordering your Kwadron carts from Europe (if cost effective). Another good tip to get needle point to rest on bottom is push stem bar until needle hangs out and them gently press the needle towards the direction you want it to rest. I hope this helps, definitely try get your hands on Uni-Carts (request a sample if you can) 👍
Have you tried Mast pro needle cartridges or Quelle needle cartridges? I like using the 10xx (0.30) needles as they seem less detrimental to the skin. Any thoughts?
Why do you prefer bugpin mags and tight liners? I've always been told bugpin is only good for soft grey wash and that anything longer than standard taper damages the skin more 🤦♀️ or am I missing a education video you have on different tapers and diameters?
Have you ever tried eagle cartridges? They have them on hawk tattoo supply. I’ve used lots of brands of needles but I feel that these cartridges work best for me and the way I tattoo.
Okay so cartridges do make a difference? Are some brands better and sharper than others?? I have been trying to shade a tribal and I'm having trouble getting it dark. I am fairly new at tattooing but I do know how to properly shade. Help?
You ever try prime + carts? I’ve had great luck with em, solid construction, they’re clear which I like, and they offer extra tight 5s and 3s which I don’t see everywhere. Kingpin crowns are ok; I don’t like that they’re 2 piece but I’ve never had one come apart, I used to use their needle bars so I tried their carts and they’re good. Cheyenne liners are trash, but their curved mags have been good The tatsoul envy Gen 2 are ok, they weren’t the best fit in my axys Valhalla, they’d pop out now and again, but they’re solid in my bishop. The pica flows are even better in my option. I find brands being out of stock at kingpin so I’ve tried diff ones cause they’re what I could get. I’ve been hesitant to go the Amazon route lol. I have wanted to try kwAdrons; they looked good when I saw em on Amazon, but because of the price and me not being familiar with it, I never pulled the trigger on em
I tried big wasp and hated the liners. Keep going to mast pro. I knows it’s not a good brand but I can’t help to notice they constantly outperform everything I try. Can you please recommend something else to try budget wise
Seventh Trumpet Tattoos i just started tattooing and comfortable with tattooing people i did one on my wife and would see if you could give me some feed back on it. If not no big deal. Keep up the great job!
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial I've been using these for a while. liners are decent. the round shaders and curved mags are great. I'm switching carts to try something different tho.
I've got a couple boxes of black claws coming tomorrow. I'll let u know what I think. Have you ever used big wasp? Was thinking about giving them a try too....
When making your videos make sure to leave links where to get the supplies n only will it help your channel grow but it is also good for the people watching
What do you do if you have a customer that gives a deposit but then after missing their appt, they call back and try to reschedule. Do you ask for another deposit? I had a client that got pissed bc I didn’t use her previous deposit as the deposit for the new appt (that was 3 weeks later). Thanks man! Great video!
Absolutely get another deposit … if they miss their time the deposit is forfeited. The deposit is good for 1 reschedule as long as they give 24 hour notice. Some will get mad, but they aren’t the clients you want any way
i really like scepter from kingpin liners and shaders they are always consistant and good my other fellow artist like Vulcan and i just dispise them but i like this list but def not a fan if davinci it pops out the machine i dont wanna hurt myself or my client
Hey man, have you ever tried WorkHorse needle carts? And if so, what’s your opinion on them? I love their straight needles, but the carts seem to explode too-I had 3 of them do that to me and I feel like you have to push really hard on them. Maybe it’s me! Who knows! Also, I recommend Lockdown Needle carts. They’re from London, England I think. Thnx for the video man. I always enjoy your comments concerning tattooing.
Seventh Trumpet Tattoos yes they do. I own a few of them. They helped me out during my apprenticeship several years ago and I love most of their supplies. I’m checking out good guys supplies now. Thnx.
Do you feel the resistance of the membrane affects the tattoo application? I’ve notice and even measured the resistance on the membrane and they’re all different
Do you have or have you ever used the old fashion coil machines? I had a rotary machine b4 but my mom through it away when I left it at her house, cuz she didn't know what it was😂she told me it looked like somethin that would get her in trouble so she through it away lmfao sucked but oh well I'm stuck with my old coil machines til I get some new equipment but I was wanderin if u had any favorite needles and tubes for coil machines if you have any?

Try the spark cartridges or papa cartridges awesome brother 4 real papa megs is good spark liners is good 👍 A1.. I used t tech for a long time just liners but the spark is better check them out man.
I have this same problem!! I have a bishop power wand and I cannot use any Cheyenne needles. The won't fit correctly. And then the machine snaps the rubber band in the cartridge.
Thanks for the video! I have a question 🤗 I tried a couple of cartridges (0803 RL) and everytime, mid tattooing, the ink seem to be stuck in the cartridge and I dont know why or what to do. It looks like the ink dry but I am tattooing since maybe 20 minutes. Or maybe the cartridge is too small... idk. Did it ever happen to you? Thanks 🥺🥺
Love Cheyenne mags but their liner have been questionable at best I just got into using a pen style machine and find them great for smaller liners but I like to change up my line weights (hence why I wanted a cartridge system) I’ve just been having hit or miss experiences with larger config liners.
I am having the same problem, could just be the voltage and hand speed but I've done a little digging and a 4.0 mm cam is what I've heard does the trick for lining
Add Lemon and Tajin or tapatio chili too all your snacks it goes with pretty much everything that comes out of the ground 1:35

Hi do you use the O ring dynasty cartridges or the membrane dynasty’s?
Peatos- pea Cheetos
Beanitos macaroni and cheese flavor- white bean cheese pretzels

I use them currently, but they don’t hold enough ink on the cartridge so u run out of ink pretty fast. Other than that I love them
I like dynasty cartridges form needle jig
T-Tech is great...... unless you like to hang your needle out pretty far. Not all machines will allow it. Other than that I love them.
I never had a problem hanging them out with the machines I use.
They are super awesome tho !
Have you tried Envy Cartridges from Tatsoul? Can’t seem to find any reviews like this that include Envy Cartridges

Hawk liners SUCK.. 7RL Wobbles so much i cant line with them, cant happen.. which ones have NO wobble etc ? 7 and 5 liners i like
the first gen t-tech cartridges don't have a membrane.

Vaseline can get inside the tube and block the ink from flowing, even when the cartridge is full of ink
And drwgonhawk cartridges mast pro and wjx ?
I love Mast pro, and wjx both are great..mast pro is way more affordable
What about anything from big wasp?
The thing with t tech I hate is no membrane on the 1st gen and that can be nasty
