Just bought one of these ($40USD), and once I encountered the problem of removing the "screw"..., I said to my self, "Self..., somebody else has got to have made a RUclips vid about this problem!" Low an behold, there you were!! Thank you for taking the time to make & share this video! You are THE man! (PS., I'm turning my keg into my 2nd metal melting foundry. The work fabulously for a foundry!) Stay well!
I'm really glad you posted this; however, you really didn't need to show the first few minutes. I used your strategy of just breaking the black seal thing out of the way. I used a drill bit to cut through it as mine was reinforced with a stainless washer impregnated within the black rubber. Once I got that out of the way, it was pretty easy sailing because of your video. Thanks! You made my night a whole lot better.
thanks.i did it with only two screwdrivers and your video.i pushed the valve somehow on a side with the big screwdriver and with a litlle one i pulled the pin.all you have to do is to find that pin
Its WAY WAY easier than this, actually they're the easiest kegs to open, you only need a keg coupler and a coin that fits in the second ring. Unscrew as far as it goes, put the coin and put the coupler over it, push the lever and its comes out easily. Saw it in a forum!
Thanks that was a great help....works perfect.....note for anyone else trying don't use a 2 euro coin as its punched the middle gold bit out of the silver outer ring.......managed to put it back together but was difficult getting inner part out of centre hole of the keg inlet as its the exact same size lol
Again, an old comment but spot on. I found a 2p coin worked perfectly and saved a lot of damage to the fitting which is good news because I'm re-filling the keg. Thanks buddy :)
Thanks a lot for the job you are doing out there; I will not ask how you got rid of the pressure The keg I am working with had still a gallon of three beer in it and a lot of pressure. Without having the means , i.e.money to buy a taphead just for this once it took me a while to figure out. Finally I took a piece of wood with a screw in it ,laid the keg on its side and move the wood thru the two openings ; with beer all over me I could depressurize it Now a way to dill a hole in the d.......d thing and place an electric element in it without being electrocuted Thanks again for your vid

I know this is an old comment, but do you know which forum you found it in?
