    Congratulations on 1K subs, Orlando! This Q&A video was so insightful!! I really enjoy you sharing insider info that's not available on other channels because they currently work for Emirates! Excellent video!

      Thank you Kaito! And yes! 1K a good milestone ! Yes, unfortunately while you work for Emirates you can't talk about the company much. You have to stay quiet on almost everything. That's why I encourage people sending me their cases so we can take them over. Thanks for dropping by! How are you? When are you going for your next open day again?

      @@WishCasting You're such a genius! You honestly deserve more subs and views! I've been applying for many airlines haha. Just need to wait for a couple more months for an open day because I got through to the assessment day stage.

    Thank you for all the information. I'm currently still in my second last year of high school, and after that i want to study 3 more years in tourism and recreation to have an extra diploma and more information about aviation. I really hope that i will get in because it's every 6months and failing will cost me a lot of time but there are so many people that apply and so less people that get in and i'll be 24 when finishing. I'm already stressing out for something that's supposed to happen in 4 years. 😰😂. I hope that the concurrence in Europe isn't too though.

    • @WishCasting
      @WishCasting  5 лет назад +4

      Hi Yousra! Don'T stress! There is no need. Being stressed doesn't help anyone.
      In the meantime we recommend to study, read, watch, talk, do everything in English. Improve it and make it powerful. In 4 years you'll probably have a better English than many Italians or French or Spanish applying (no offense to these nationalities, I'm referring to their strong accent), so if you fly to their countries and apply at an open day there, you'll probably raise your chances of getting in.
      If you're already in Europe you're golden! You only need to take a cheap RyanAir flight to any of the countries where people have bad English and do the open day there ;)
      PS: This comment is not meant to offend anyone. But truth be told, some nationalities have worst English than others. This is due to bad English teachers at school, dubbing of all tv shows and films on tv, laziness of students and more.

      @@WishCasting thank you for the motivation😊.i'm from belgium so the english level here is pretty good. And in my 3 years of tourism i'm going To learn German and spanish, i already speak dutch, french and english very fluently and writing is good. I also want to train my arabic because most of my family speak it but my level is low on that. Thanks again for your answer it really helped me out.

    Questions:
    I have 3 slightly scars in My hands.
    One slight scar in my eyebrow Think that might be an issue? How easy it is to remove the scar if you get selected? Might the health insurance help with the removal costs?
    - I didn't check yet why not to use white socks.
    I'm very glad to meet you and the community.

    Hello Orlando! So I will be attending an open day here in Portugal in one week and I have one question. In what language should I address the recruiter in the first stage (CV delivery). Should I speak always in english or it's going to be in portuguese and then english in the english test stage? Thanks a lot. Great videos! *

    • @WishCasting
      @WishCasting  5 лет назад +1

      Hi there again Nina! And wonderful news! One week! We wish you the best of luck and don't worry, you'll pass if you go easy and relaxed, humble and positive! ☺️
      Regarding language, we really recommend going 100% English. If the recruiter addresses you in Portuguese then yes, speak Portuguese, otherwise keep it in English. I've seen people get told off for that reason. They were speaking in italian at the Italian open day. Was embarrassing a bit. We are collecting open days experiences. So far we have 3 people going to open days and reporting their stories either written or by video. Let us know if you want to share your story and experience of your open day and possibly joining experience until you work! ☺️

      @@WishCasting Thanks again for the advice! And yes, I will share all my experience so I can also help more people like me :)
      Also, do you think you can review my CV and check if it is acceptable? I made it from scratch basically haha wanted to do something different.

      Hi Nina! We're happy you're intrested in a small collaboration!
      Please contact us through our channels in our description. We'll hand you over all the details ;)
      For the CV unfortunately we don't offer this service. We've had several people sending in their CV and had to reject them all since we're focusing solely on distributing guidelines for everyone. Doing videos is super time consuming.
      We hope you understand Nina, we love helping others, just don't have the time unfortunately :S
      " Our previous reply to Angad Paul:
      We'll work on a sample CV on a future episode since there are so many people asking for it.
      It appears to be some common issue when attending an Emirates interview.
      Please stay tuned for future episodes, we're working hard on many episodes yet to come out soon. Biweekly now, not weekly.
      Orlando @wishcasting "
      So stay tuned Nina, soon we'll be distributing videos regarding CV samples and formats to use.
      Waiting for your response.

    Hey there,
    I really enjoy all of your videos and you seem like a smart and sensible person.
    Emirates has been my dream for a long time, I got my Golden call recently and now I'm filling in documents and all formalities.
    However, I have huge doubts about going to Dubai for work. Mainly the issue is my boyfriend whom I am not going to leave at home.
    He could come to Dubai with me and look for a job but from what I see now online, it's really difficult to find a job there, so far there are no replies. Also, without getting married seems like we will be unable to live together. Even if renting sth on our own. Or is it somehow possible?
    All these issues seem like a big trouble and seems like eventually I'll have to give up the offer.

    • @WishCasting
      @WishCasting  5 лет назад

      Hi there Laura ! Thanks for the nice compliments ! And congratulations for getting the golden call !
      If this is your dream job.. You should pursue that dream. Might be your only chance to travel, see the world and much more.
      Your boyfriend can always reach you later once he finds a job. Of course you don't want to leave him behind, I totally understand that.
      If you want to live together you have 2 options:
      1- Get married, declare it to Emirates, get the live out allowance and go live out with your husband
      or
      2- Buy a flat in Dubai, declare it to Emirates and receive the live out allowance. Then secretly take your boyfriend over once he finds a job.
      *With number 2, you have to be careful. Not for Emirates finding out (they absolutely don't care), but for neighbors for example. If you play loud music, or party hard at home and they call the police you'll get into trouble for not being married.
      If i'm not mistaken, police issues a 30 day tolerance period in which you have to get married. Only after that time frame you could be sent to jail if not married.
      You could also ask your manager, once you've joined Emirates, to let you live out (pretty please), however this is a super super exception and I'd doubt they'd do it for you. Usually when you join, your first 6 months are probation months, meaning you don't have 100% unlocked benefits and perks. One of these are moving out of your accommodation for example.
      So these are the things you can try doing to get your boyfriend come to your place.
      If the above options aren't good for you, you can always invite your boyfriend over and declare him to Emirates as your cousin (they never check), and have him over in your Emirates Accommodation for I think 30 days max but you can extend it I believe, where in that time frame he'll be searching for a job.
      Once he finds a job, he might be the one getting free accommodation from his employer. That'll allow you to go live with him at his place. Again be careful to * .
      Hope I replied fully to your questions and doubts.
      Don't be afraid. This journey can be of 1 year or more. You get to choose! If it's your dream, don't let it fly away ;)
      Have a good day Laura!
