    Great video! Have you the issue of the water keep flowing still persist even if you change out water relay? What would be the options then?

      Does your system have a water flush? If so, that system might be doing it. To test, clamp off the line coming out of the water flush toggle with hemostats.

    What happens when the water control does not adjust the water pressure?

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel  2 года назад

      The water pressure is controlled by the water regulator (city supply) or the air regulator (bottle system). The needle valve controls flow and the water relay is on/off. If the needle valve is not adjusting flow, it should be replaced.

    Hello.
    when I lift the high speed handpiece, from its nest, water begins to flow, from the hole in its head, for water.
    normally, this should occur when I press the pedal. but it flows by itself.
    what should I change in the unit? Thanks!

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel  Год назад +1

      What kind of delivery unit do you have? It sounds like you have a water relay valve that has failed. They are normally gold. Follow the handpiece tubing back and fold the lines over until the water stops flowing. It will be one of the two smaller lines, follow that back and see if there is one of those valves in the path. It sounds like that valve has failed. If you have an an Adec unit, it may be more complicated.

      @@DentalEquipmentRepairChannel Is a dental unit of Chinese production. The foot pedal is pneumatic (except for the scaler).

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel  Год назад +1

      I'm not sure on that. I try to stay away from the Chinese units. They have metric tubing and the quality is generally pretty low. I'm not sure how to advise you without seeing the unit in front of me. You might need to call a technician in on this one.

      Nice breakdown of the different valves and relays. I prefer a combo valve over a relay/needle valve set up. When the relay leaks then it tends to pour out of all HP positions, vs the combo isolating it to a specific position. Also it’s important to use a non-retraction relay if using the separate components.
