The whole reason I am searching for how to fix a trail blazer pull cord is because I need to know were to tie the rope onto the recoil starter.

I tied a knot and slit it through a notch/slit in the middle or bottom of the recoil wheel and wound it back.

I am stuck in the woods please tell me how you take the cover off that holds the spring with the 4 screws

You have to remove the reel by clamping a vise on the metal piece that locks on to the flywheel and then using a cloth belt type strap wrench around the outside edge of the reel unscrew the reel counterclockwise.
      Hope it helps

know how to remove the internal coil spring in the recoil? I can't get mine out.

I haven't had to mess with the coil spring on this atv but I would assume the four screws @ 0:27 are housing the coil spring. I've messed with coil springs on other mechanisms and they are tricky if they are already unwound.
