@chucktyson-kx3fc I need to get it on the greaser gun. I am do for some more greasing and basically need to install it on there. Hopefully there are not adapters needed or anything.

@Lstractorman if you look back in my catalog, I have periodically addressed certain things about Ridgid tools. Overall the experience truly has been fantastic. I have certainly gotten my $$ worthy out of the platform and still have 20 year tools that I still use. Some of this now sit because they have been made obsolete (due to weight and size) but they still work perfectly well. I have always wondered if the program would end but it actually has gotten easier and more expanded. For example, back in the day if you purchased a stand alone battery, it only had a 3 year warranty. You had to get the batteries in kit form. That has ended and if you purchase a 2 pack of whatever they have going, it now is available for lifetime service. Warning: You must follow their registration procedure. That has also become much more streamlined than it did in the past as well.

A cordless grease gun is one of those tools that once you use one you immediately realize how did I ever live without one, especially on equipment that has multiple grease zerks on them. My old hand crank grease gun is collecting dust somewhere in my shop.

Had I known that, I may have gone looking a bit more. honestly though, the nearest dealer was over double the distance away putting it at close to 2 hrs. Can I ask if it was in the ball park in terms of price? I actually had a Yanmar Mini Ex quoted during this process as well. Thanks for the information
@@oakiewoodsman The Yanmar was MUCH less and LARGER than the JD4044M and the comparable Kioti. Much better deal all the way around on MORE H.P. , greater ground clearance, overall larger tractor. I have often thought that if I had to start over and the warranty was not there on the orange tools, I would seriously look at HF Hercules. They have a pretty decent lineup and the batteries seem to be a good price. I have seen some tear downs and the cells were of good quality too. My Miter saw is truly been great!

That is what I was thinking. Asked the mechanic and he thought it was not a good idea because if you ever had to get a broken one out, it was tough. Here is the thing though, by rights, shouldn't the bolts not break if they are actually snug???
I would probably be using heat to get any broken bolt out, so Loctite isn’t an issue anyway in that scenario. Agreed, why should the bowl be broken anyway?
You should be using grease with at least 3% moly for pins and bushings. And no there isn't one grease for all applications. Also I'd suggest getting a lock and lube quick coupler.

@@Super-Dave-Outdoors I go through one or two tubes a year. I think I'm good. I grew up greasing balers, choppers, combines, & whatever, however. There's nothing wrong with using a battery powered grease gun if you use them a lot.
@driftlesshunter9200 while there was some waste on this video for sure, I did use one full tube. I am actually ready to do another application so there goes another tube. Again, you could likely use a bit less but grease in bulk like this is not too bad in price and I am going to err on the side of caution and try to pump a couple more each time.
And I’m going to Home Depot tonight….
hahaha.... did you?
some of the best deal must be purchased online. All the stores have different stock and prices. That is a major complaint on my end.
And….it was full price, in store and online. I do have quite a bit of Ridgid battery tools and have been relatively happy/impressed. I also have Milwaukee and I like some of the Ridgid better and other tools I prefer Milwaukee.
I just checked $457! Gosh dang! Keep an eye out! Hopefully you can find something at some point. The impact is SUPER nice...... I wanna say that Torque Test took the Red one and Orange one and combined parts and made an even better one! hahaha
