    I like your lessons, I studied modern Hebrew before you, it was so hard to study, I didn’t want to study anymore, and then I found you, I listen to many words without translation and it’s good that you use verses from the Bible. The Lord Yeshua will protect and bless your family

    I love these lessons. It would be helpful to have a lesson about war. Phrases and words that you hear during wartime. Bomb shelter, hostage, terrorist, war, Bring Them Home Now, etc. I finished learning the Hebrew alphabet and I can read a few words here and there. So it would be nice to know how to read it and say it.

    • @samphonnetgamgee5625

      This is a biblical Hebrew channel. If you want to learn about "bomb shelter and terrorists", you should rather take a (modern) Hebrew language course. Good luck!

      Hello.... This is a Biblical Hebrew channel. Bomb or terrorist are modern words. In lesson 100+ (I think), you'll find some stories and lessons about ancient wars, like the king of Bashan and Og, Goliath and David. You would see Avram and Beth as mighty warriors... 😊

    • @adrianblake8876
      @adrianblake8876 11 месяцев назад +1

      They're teaching biblical hebrew, so words like "bomb" and "terrorist" they can't teach...
      However, they did teach the words "war" and "hostage" in previous videos, the word for shelter may be taught in a future video (or not)
      And as for "bring them home", that's Jer.31:16
      וְשָׁבוּ בָנִים לִגְבוּלָם

      It may seem like subtitles will make it better, but you will learn more without them, because it is less distracting. Seems hard to accept, but its true. Listen again and again. Use a dictionary, you will soon pick up the meanings.

    So many more words you could teach... like "twins", "hairy" and "smooth", and "redhead"...
    Speaking of "redhead", you do know David is a redhead too, right!?

    • @katiepeacock8015
      @katiepeacock8015 11 месяцев назад

      I understand this to be a first year Hebrew course, basically teaching words that occur in the OT 100 times or more with some exceptions. "Twin" is only used 4 times. It won't make the cut for many a day I suspect, but there are dictionaries,

    • @adrianblake8876
      @adrianblake8876 11 месяцев назад

      @@katiepeacock8015 Oh, they teach hapax legomema if the text requires it. 100+ is just an arbitrary threshold (missing out too many common words)
      They even taught words that appear ZERO times in the bible, (the words "lesson", "USA" and many grammar words...)
      All suggested words (inc. another word for "coat") are part of the text, and I'm not sure when will get a second chance...

    • @katiepeacock8015
      @katiepeacock8015 11 месяцев назад

      I can't think of many words occurring only once that they have drilled. And they do make exceptions but every shortened story they tell has dozens of vocabulary words left out, that are in the original text. Have pity on those of us who can only absorb so many new things per lesson. Of course there are other chances for learning vocabulary- this is just a first stepping stone. One thing I love about Aleph with Beth is the richness of links to other great resources- more than I have time to investigate. Yours- kedging along through Jeremiah with Bart and a good dictionary in hand. @@adrianblake8876

      Teaching too many new words at once would push it past the limit of comprehensible input, though
