Camouflage | छलावरण

Nature has given such a characteristic to many birds, insects and animals that they remain out of sight even when they are in front and this very characteristic either helps them in hunting or sometimes prevents themselves from becoming prey to their enemies - this is called "Camouflage".
In this video, an owl has chosen such a cavity in the tree to hide itself, in which it is impossible to see it normally despite being in front of it.
प्रकृति ने अनेक पक्षियों, कीटों व जानवरों को एक ऐसी विशेषता प्रदान की है जिससे वे सामने रहते हुए भी नज़रों से ओझल रहते हैं और उनकी यही विशेषता या तो उन्हें शिकार करने में सहायता करती है या कभी खुद को उनके शत्रुओं का शिकार बन जाने से बचा लेती है - इसे ही छलावरण कहते हैं.
इस वीडियो में एक उल्लू ने ख़ुद को छुपाने के लिए पेड़ के ऐसे कोटर को चुना है जिसमें सामने रहते हुए भी सामान्य रूप से उसे देख पाना असंभव है.
