The most listenable tenor voice in jazz today in my opinion ... Max always keeps us close enough to the harmony to not lose his audience with a barrage of chord substitutions/ notes and outside playing that so many of his contemporaries resort to ... Because Max plays for the true essence of the music and for us ...not for his peers ....and that is a very very brave and courageous thing to do. In the end it will endear him to an ever expanding base of fans and a very long satisfying career I hope. Thank you Max for your great artistry and commitment to your calling .... You have no idea how much you are appreciated and loved for your contribution to what we all hope will be a renaissance of jazz and your style of playing. A style that gave us so many previous Masters that were all unique in their sound and interpretations ... Bravo and don’t forget to take your vitamin D3 with K2 ... LOL ...
