Sir my family has faced serious medical negligence and my Bhua who's age is only 52 yrs has gone in coma. Olivia hospital has rapidly corrected sodium level from 104 to 143 and my aunt is now suffering from Osmotic Deleymination. Please help we have shifted her in Apollo hospital. Apollo has raised bill of more than 12 lakhs in 10 days and she would have to stay with ventilator until she recover which would cost us Rs. 50k monthly. Please suggest
A doctor will rarely give report against another doctor's negligence, so in simple words they got a free hand to do all the things, In the population of 121billion people now u can imagine how many are dying because of criminal negligence and due to our laws dr r roaming free
I completely agree with you This is same in all professional negligence cases. The assessment / evaluation of Standard of care / services provided by is assessed by the respective profession. In simple words ’Bolam Test’ As you mentioned that doctor will not give report against another doctor, hence the ‘Bolitho Test’ - Opinion of the doctor/medical board shall logically explain the court - Court will decide to accept or reject the opinion - Professional jealousy plays huge role in doctors community (Wish doctors were united like advocates for fighting for their profession) - There is no other profession/professional in the world, which has been taken to the court at the drop of the hat for the mistake/poor outcome Off course, I am not justifying the negligence of the doctors but at the same time we will be paying a huge price for the defensive practice adopted by many in the era of consumerism I am here to spread awareness and educate people at large
Sir, My brother was died on 27th April because of septicemia in shock after sternal wire removal surgery. He was treated at Mahaveer Jain hospital Bangalore for hypoxic brain injury from 24th of February 2022. Sir He undergone with open heart surgery at Narayana hrudayalaya Bengaluru on 6th of December 2021.After successful surgery he was shifted to ward and he was stable but after 13th days he was suffered from hypoxic brain damage and they are failed to tell me the exact reason.Sir i want to file case against both the hospital. I have all the medical records with me. Now what can i do? Please guide me sir
