About two years ago I had that similar issue with my 2008 Craftsman 550 Series Silver Edition, but I never got rid of it anyhow. All I did is put an easy fix on it with a solid thick wood screw into the small hole next to the nut to tightly fasten with a truck body panel clip and locked them tightly with a zip tie and it worked nicely without any issue. The solid wood screw can also manage holding both the weight of the handle and the engine-mounted deck all together. All that do-it-yourself work I did on my mower really paid off.😊
Appreciate your willingness to make this video even when the end of the world is imminent😂 I'm right there with you when it comes to finding things. I know I've got it somewhere but 50% of the time I can't find it. I was given a mower like this a year or two ago. Good little mower after i fixed a few things. Good tip on the handle/ adjuster. Enjoying your videos.
Just sold two of those, one a WeedEater and the other an identical Craftsman. Did the same handle repair on both of them, good little mowers, love that Briggs engine. I usually ask $100 for them, they seem go quicker if they have the Craftsman name on them lol!
Thanks MiG. I just had another weed eater dumped out at the farm. I’m hoping it’s decent. Yeah $100 is my normal price as well. They move fast at that price
