I think it's a little difficult for people to get TOMIX because the models are all discontinued now. They're definitely amazing though. Thanks for your comment!
@@DansTrainRoom Even crazier that such a great line got discontinued, might pick a TOMIX model up myself after this video (if I can find one for a good price).
the Tomix stuff is scaled to TT3 which means in order to run them with other trains/wagons/brands is to regauge it to TT3, or you would have to run only Tomix stuff
Henry’s probably my favorite Tomix model but James is definitely a close second! Totally not biased or anything haha nice review, looking forward to seeing more as always!
Years back, i bought two sets of Annie snd Clarabelle and painted them red for branchline coaches. Found them more fitting for little layouts behind James. The extra trucks went to Percy's consit with a custom made brakevan made by splicing two n scale br brakes for the extra height.
A model exhibition I went to had the original Thomas, james, and Henry, the prices were quite steep, but I didn’t buy them as I already have basically everything, cool seeing them though
plastic wheels are bad because they slosh the dirt around the track. That's particularly bad with DC as it attracts dirt where as the AC used in DCC repels dirt.
It's crazy how people go to Bachmann so often for Thomas models and not TOMIX, definitely a underrated company.

@1471SirFrederickBanbury You can run them with anything as long as you're fine with it looking a little weird
@@DansTrainRoom yeah, Its kinda like the 00 H0 thing

Thanks again! Henry is definitely my favorite too. I hope Bachmann's Gordon will be just as amazing!

These days you'd get crucified for modifying these lol. Thanks for watching!
It didnt matter how long it took, im just glad james is here!
Thank you ☺️
I wish there have tomix Edward too, james is so cool i like james when he pulling coaches
Right, I wish this line was never discontinued and we got more characters. Thanks for watching!
@DansTrainRoom no problem
I found a Tomix James at a train show back in March. Unfortunately, I did not buy it. But I definitely found a gem there.

Surprising that you found one in the wild outside of Japan! Thanks for watching!
@ I bought the full set of engines and rolling stock (minus the individual mail car) from a member at my model club for £130
I like your attention to detail.
Thanks!
great job with this one! Cant complain about anything here as it all seems in order!
Thanks for your nice comment!
my goat is back
Thanks Noah!
What are your thoughts on Bachmann's n scale Thomas models?
I think they're great! I have a few problems with them but overall those models are amazing too. Thanks for watching!
Like I said with Thomas, Tomix James is probably the most accurate looking toy I've seen.
It's nearly flawless! One of my favorites for sure.
The Japanese seem to have a knack for detail! I remember being so jealous of them for having way better Tomy Thomas models than us in the US
How are you this underrated?!
Thank you!
nice to see a new video!
Thanks for watching!
@@DansTrainRoom but of course! keep up the great content, man!
This was an amazing review, very detailed explanation, great video 👍
Thank you so much!
@ No problem, have a great day.
When are we going to get a showcase about Henry
Henry is the next TOMIX video on the way, but there might be some new Bachmann releases coming first 😉
Thanks for watching!
0:29 Hankyu 8200 series?
Close, Hankyu 9300 series!
Henry the best tbh
He's my favorite Tomix model for sure. Thanks for watching!
Can you remove the CGI TOMIX James face?
You can remove any of the Tomix faces, they're not attached that strongly

Interesting, I didn't know that. Thanks for watching and thanks for the info!
