Most worlds, youngest world champion…most centuries by a single person in a best of 19? He made 7 in the 1994 uk championship against Doherty winning 9 to 4. He’s also won more of his finals as a percentage I believe. Not really a record that one but still.
@@jack-zy5bt Also most century’s in a single tournament with 16, most seasons spent at number one with 9, most triple crowns in a single season with 2(one in the 89/90 season and one in the 95/96 season I believe) I’m sure if you cared to look you could find a few others.
I played snooker for years. Ronnie "infected" me. As there were not many snooker tables in the small town then 70 thousand inhabitants, I used to go to the nearby island where there was also a snooker table in the coffee bar. When it's not the season, the table is just mine. I love snooker and Ronnie O' Sullivan❤❤
Jabber-constant-jabber Thorne always did exceptionally well in the World's Worst Snooker Commentator Championship...never failed to reach at least the semi's, even against some pretty formidable opposition

When your playing well and the frame is over, would you not be better to miss while your playing well. And not waist your good snooker on a frame that's already over ? Your form might not last and you could have saved it for the next frame ? Just wondering.
Not a snooker player, so take my thoughts at your own risk. But I would think intentionally playing badly would skew your flow, if your in the zone, I'd say stay with it as much as possible, just keep doing what your doing. Changing things is normally what takes people out of those "Zen" modes.
Good form in snooker is not like fuel in a car, or energy, that can be exhausted... Quite the opposite really, when you are potting everything, it makes you feel like you can continue potting everything, which leads to you playing better! A massive part of snooker is confidence in your own abilities, the moment you start to doubt yourself or start missing shots, that is when you start playing badly... Believe me I've been around the sport for best part of 30 years and I'm not even 40 yet, so I still play a lot
You have not won until your opponent says so! Some do take the opportunity to have a little table time - and maybe destroy your rhythm at the same time. Perhaps better to keep them off the table.
That Green that Ronnie made in frame 8 was no fluke. I've seen him make that shot 3 or 4 times. The Commentator called it a fluke. I guess I've watch Ronnie play more than him.
I think also when there is a dedicated seating area. There are no excuse for distractions. You and your opponent will be sitting in a similar place. I used to work the bar at a billiard, snooker and pool hall and the amount of times ive heard. Sit in your chair and stop distracting me. Some folk would plant one chair down and a table either side so that there REALLY was NO excuse for your opponent wandering. Bare in mind that the folk we had in the door werr never ranked but always had a pint or two in them during play. That actually led to a great debate about Ice or no ice for the water jug as that to became an excuse for distraction. We even went as far as to felt the side tables so there was no clunk from the glasses or jug on the solkid wood surface haha. But yea for these guys on the telly some of the venues are surprisingly tight to walk around.
The guy calling these games called a 3 rail bank into a side pocket by O'Sullivan a (Fluke) shot -----HOW CAN HE SAY THAT WHEN HES ONLY CALLING THE SHOTS INSTED OF MAKING THEM!!!
I think it's a semi-fluke. Ronnie did go for that pot, but had enough drive on the ball to make it a reasonable safety, should he miss. So he took the (high) risk, and was rewarded. Plus, he didn't apologize, signaling that indeed he had been going for that pot.
Hi, so we commented here 8 months ago that 3 cushion was not a fluke. Dispite the sports commentator says the opposite. And we saw in 2022 R.O.S to do the same! 😅
What don't you see here, back in 2012? Not on the table sides, not on the players' logos, not on the venue dividers, not on the water bottles, what don't you see? Compare it to now - what's the difference? Think history, economics, and follow the money. Figure it out yet?
Vic Kireluk was the ultimate snooker genius. He always played well. The most difficult shots always looked easy. He looked more gifted than Ronnie, every time he picked up the cue..
I understand everybody has their favorites... but I mean, come on man, ronnie has all top 5 Fastest 147s, the Most 147s, including 2 intentional 146s as protest, and record amounts of championships, I mean.... Don't get me wrong, I can fully understand that some of the best players never get known. But I have trouble finding stats on Vic Kireluk. I see that for time he was allegedly the first and youngest player to make a 147...at age 17. Ronnie had that record at age 15 and 98days as well. So it sounds like he could have been top level talent, but didn't seem to win the championships need for public recognition? Are you familiar with Ronnie's contribution to game?
Kireluk wasn't even the best Canadian of his era, let alone best in the world ever...if he went on from his single record-breaking game as a youth (a record Ronnie now holds, in case you didn't realise) to actually achieve anything meaningful in the snooker world I might give you some leeway for the way you down talked the actually provable greatest to ever play the game...but he didn't, yet you still chose to compare them and claim him the superior player?.... you're a fool

You want to have your oponent sitting in that chair as long as possible. Wondering if he's ever gonna make another pot in the game.
Best Ronnie matches I’ve seen were 2004 and 2008 WSC matches vs Hendry
Just didn't understand, why 1:07 was not given a freeball? Mark Williams couldn't see any single red both sides full. Right??
Can't be snookered by a ball 'on' meaning if the only thing blocking the side of the red is another red then it can't be free ball
