@3picFilms i don't think that would be much better - video game and movie scores actually have very different applications. An extremely dramatic score such as the one you linked would be GREAT for cinematics or important moments, but for general questing and exploration it would impose itself upon the gameplay. General questing and exploring calls for a more background-oriented theme song.
The part starting at 2:07 is really quite incredible, especially the moments of discord at 3:20 and and 3:30. I for one cannot wait to play though this zone.
@Hirotoro4692 These days people can't tell half the difference between Film and Video Game music since Video Game music has become a big industry and is equal to Film in terms of what they want to achieve and the epic sound. Heard the God of War soundtracks?I'm pretty sure people when questing want fricken epic Egyptian music. Plus most people don't even listen to ingame music, they mute it and listen to their own. I personally always listen but Cataclysm does call for epic ingame music...
@BCt0xiN sub·jec·tive [suhb-jek-tiv] adjective 1.existing in the mind; belonging to the thinking subject rather than to the object of thought ( opposed to objective). 2.pertaining to or characteristic of an individual; personal; individual: a subjective evaluation.
@BCt0xiN What you mean to say is that you don't like that part of this soundtrack, there's nicer ways of putting it than "absolute pile of garabge". I happen to like that part and there's a good chance that my musical education has been more thorough than yours, so who should be the judge? Yes it should be pleasing to listen to, but it should also be interesting.
Ok, I will never understand what the FUCK Blizzard is doing when they recruit people. The employee hired to compile and pick which tracks are to be featured should be dragged out back and shot. Because, this person seems to deliberately exclude all the best ones and leaving us with CRAP. Why is the track "Lost City of the Tol'Vir NOT on this CD? Just a bunch of random alternating chorus/orchestral strophes that drag on forever, instead of the really powerful and memorable parts.
yeah i agree completely this zone looks awesome and the music will set the mood
holy shit, the buildup on 1:15-1:30 is amazing, and how they match it in vocals at 3:15-3:30 is so cool @A@ love uldum
I miss this music, in the new Uldum it plays almost nowhere (just inside the main building at Ramhaken it seems).
