- Dr. Soper demonstrates how to create entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) using Draw.io. Topics covered include creating entities and attributes, defining primary and foreign keys, marking attributes as required, creating and modifying relationship lines, changing cardinalities, creating weak entities, and marking relationships as non-identifying.
Thank you. Very informative. I was struggling to use it. But now i'm confident enough to draw erd.
Thank you for this. I was bumbling through it until this tutorial. What a difference!
Dr Soper, your presentation are ever on point!
Thank you so much.
an interesting explanation of ERD, step by step in a simple, slow way that makes it easy to understand, thank you Mr. Dr. May Allah increase your knowledge
Thank you for this step-by-step demonstration of constructing an ERD. It is explained in a very simple way for beginners like me to understand and follow. Appreciate your tutorial.👍
AMAZING tutorial, very concise and very well explained! I will have fun now creating tables for my PostgreSQL database!
Thank you very much for this nice tutorial. Very professionally explained!
Thank you so much. i was completely stuck. You Saved a soul from headache
The schoupenhauer. Thank you very much, your videos has been helping me a lot..
Thank you so much for this demonstration. You make things very easy to understand and reproduce. Thank you!
Thank you for this, my teacher sort of threw us this program without explaining how it works at all. Very helpful!
Excellent clean explanation...Thank you very much Dr. Daniel
I couldn't figure out how to add rows but now I know. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you so much for this quick introduction! Very useful for me, to do my first drawing!
This was very well presented! And helpful!
4:58 thank you! I was looking for this :)
same lol is there a way we can copy and paste attribute names into the rows?
Very nice and beginner friendly tutorial. Well done.
This is an amazing tutorial. Thanks a lot!
can you add more columns to the relationship table? or only rows?
thank you this is very clear and got me up and working quickly
This video is very helpful for me who is learning DBMS in college. Thank you for your video!
Hello, very helpful video and loved it, but how do you add more columns to the table to fit more attributes?
This was perfect, thank you!
Thanks a lot for the tutorial. One of the best offline tools for database design well explained
thank you , this video really helped me
its been 4 years but this video is still helpful!
Is it possible to fill in the table names and column names via a csv or excel upload?
OK, and how do I create a composite PK which consists of 3 fields? Anything I try, it puts it in a different row that is divided by a horizontal line. I'm unable to put 3 PK's between two horizontal lines. Like the two PK's in the EmployeeSkill here, only I want a 3rd one in there too. How to do that??
Thanks so much. it was a quick and very helpful tutorial.
Thank you!! Fantastic.
I'm really thankful with you, I needed add a new attribute!!!
Thank you for the info. Easy to understand
thank you so much, the hotkey CNTRL-return saves me so much time
enter* since im on windows but u get da point thank u
this... is... a... LIFESAVER THANK YOU!
Thank you for tutorial, it's really useful
thank you very much for this nice tutorial
Thank you Dr. Soper! I'm including your video in the materials for my SQL course.
Very useful video, thank you for your sharing!
What a fantastic explanation, thanks a lot👏💯
hey really appreciated your sentiment analyser wanna talk a little more about can i get ur contact ?
Excellent! Thank You!
Thank you very much for your video!
HOW TO JOIN TWO LINES FROM DIFFERENT TABLES THAT POINT TO THE SAME PRIMARY KEY ON A TABLE WITH SAME CARDINALITY?
How to generate the SQL for the models?
Thankyou. This is so Clear tutorial
Thank you, great tutorial
super amazing video, cant resist to watch & like.
Thank you it has been really helpful for my assignment. For the lines though, why not just use "duplicate" instead of copy and paste?
@Dr. Daniel Soper, Can you please make a physical entity diagram? I am kinda confused on how the logical and physical are different
Yes please
👍
thanks mate you safe my life
Yeah, very intuitive to add a row... Thanks!
perfect, thanks !
Thanks for this tutorial
thankyou sir for your bright explaination about erd
Very well defined . Good Job
So helpful, thank you so much, I
One Question. In the Logical Model E-R, In the table i can put of type data???
I think you add the data type in your data dictionary
Many thanks Sir!
Great....Software...and also nice explanation
thanks a lot...it's helpful
thank you Sir !
Thank you!
can we connect data and automatically create erd
Damn it's really helpful
Thank you very much you save me
very useful video....Thanks a lot
Muchas gracias
tks so much !
Thank you! - this was simply perfect. ¿What do you use to dim part of the screen while explaining, so we focus our attention on the non dimmed part?
I got an exam and it says: In this worksheet you will practise normalising data to produce an ERD from a paper-based record. So I have to do the same as you done or I need to uce access
Thanks man.
Thank you sir.
Thanku very much it was really helpful 👍😉🥀🥀❤️❤️
Thank you
Thank you sir
thank you
Thanks!
Good vid!
Cool!
Thanks
TG for RUclips, amazing video
This video isn't really about an ER diagram. It is talking about a "relational model". An entity/relationship should not be talking about primary key or a combination key and such relational database terms. E.g. "An employee works for a department" - there are two entities "Employee" and "Department" and the relationship is "works". So you should pick the 'entity' icon on the left (rectangle), and the relationship icon on the left (diamond shaped). Then you draw the cardinalities (one-one, one-many.. etc). Between the rectangles (entities) and the relatioship (diamond), you draw the cardinality lines (one, many, etc).
how to add new line .
Hi, can you export the model to a sql script?
Very useful
Which app
What app is this?
thanx bro
thanx bro'
💯💯
Is it entity relations or crows foot
👍
soo GITMIND.COM OR DRAW.IO ???
easy one ;-)
nao achei em portugues, vai em ingles mesmo kkkkkk
Arrange > Insert > Advanced > CSV
Then insert your SQL statement (there is an example) and you're halfway there.
is this free?
This is not an ER diagram. It is a relational schema. ER diagrams are part of the conceptual database design and aren't related to a specific database type.
Ryt
My crapy teacher tells everyone to label the line, and don't make it looks like a process. What can I say, I just write all 'has' customer has payment detail, the bank has payment detail and team member has the payment detail, fuck
lol
Thanks for a nice explanation of draw.io Please do not add 'music' in future videos as it is distracting a lot for hearing impaired people. If possible, remove in this one.
Agree it would be better without music - very nice tutorial but I found the music distracting and annoying, entirely unnecessary.
the sound is not good I am quite disappointed
jajaja wesbrok y lebrom juegan tan iguales que los dos engañan con numeros
UGH! The music!!! 🤮
