This beautiful song was the theme music for the television show carrying the same name starring Tony Franciosa. This song makes me get teary every time I hear it! No one else could have sang this song like her and talented Glenn Jones! Ms. Warwick had a unique gifted voice like her niece and that's why Burt Bacharach had her as muse for so many of his songs!
What an amazing performance by two talented artists. Ms Warwicke never disappoints. I’m so glad the national TV audience got to see this on the Tonight Show. I was only 23 (38 years ago) at the time and even then I knew it was a gem.
There were many great vocalists in the past and even in the present but Dionne came second to no one. A rare voice even back in the day when singing was singing she stood out. Love her especially when she does duets. I can watch this over and over again. And I have.
Glenn Jones is a bad boy, You can see Dionne’s amazement. We all know how great Mrs Warwick is, that tone, phrasing, no wonder she was Bert Bachrach‘s favorite
Absolutely one of my favorite performances of Dionne! She really shines here! As I get older, I really appreciate what Dionne and so many others brought to the table. They didn't sound like everyone else. You may not be a fan of her artistry for whatever reason, and that's fine but know that she had her own sound. I feel like that's somewhat missing in today's vocalists!
Dionne bad as shit!!!! I mean no one sings a song like her!!! This is dope!!!! Glenn Jones is great. Dionne blends with anyone that want to leave their egos at the door!!!
Dionne Warwick is one of the most elegant voices in contemporary music. Glen Jones's voice is epic and incomparable by today's standards of really untalented males r&b singers.
I remember hearing this song growing up and didn’t realize Glenn Jones was the male vocalist. Simply amazing. They don’t make music like this anymore. Yeah Unsung brought me here too.
Thanks so much, I've only just now discovered this! I'm a little obsessed with this song, I think one of the very best (and most underrated) in Bacharach's canon. Dionne is at her peak and simply divine, and Glenn Jones must be one of the most underrated soul crooners ever, so dynamic and creative, and blending in so perfectly.
I love me some Glenn Jones!!! He’s doing what we call SANGING!! Watching this I’m like wow Them cousins(Dionne amd Whitney) got some strong genes dang...they’re like one of those families that were unfairly passed down errybody can blessed with the musical abilities that mesmerize. This song is AMAZING OMG GLENN JONES!!!!!
Dionne has certainly paired with some of the best artists including Maurice White, Luther Vandross, Issac Hayes, Gladys & Patti, now the fabulous Glenn Jones! Oh my! Love this collaboration!
Ms Dion Warwick is truly a songstress she is but one who can keep up with Mr Glenn Jones's power voice ,no one sounds like her nor him i wish they did more songs together love those there music
I was watching Unsung about Glen Jones and this song was one of the featured songs. It brought back memories when I had Dionne Warwick's CD with this song. I had totally forgot about it. Wow! Both had superb voices and really demonstrated their talents with this song! And now I play it over and over. ❤️
This song gave me good chills right down to my bones. I've heard the audio to this song many times before but to see them actually sing this great song together really put a big smile on my face. Thank you so much for posting this!
Absolutely beautiful !! What more needs to be said ? I was introduced to Dionne Warwick as a kid because my mother listened to her and I've been a fan ever since. I remember watching Valley of the Dolls on the hood of a car at a drive-in. Such beautiful music with a quality that today's music definitely lacks in my opinion
Dionne was one of Johnny’s favorites because she always brought it. Some of the greatest live versions of her songs were on the Tonight Show. Johnny always gave her two songs.
So, I recorded Unsung last week and finally watched it yesterday. My God. Glenn Jones has to be one of the greatest male vocalist I have ever heard! His range, his runs are so strategically placed that you have to rewind to listen again! At 4:08 had Dionne had a church fan she looks like she would have smacked his singing behind with it! I can't think of ANY contemporary male artist that I could compare him to. I would put him in the class along with Peabo Bryson, Donnie Hathaway, James Ingram, Sam Moore and Tony Terry. I have ALWAYS been a Glenn Jones fan but after this Unsung episode, I'm awoke! On another note, in my best Game of Thrones voice. I have a word for Savoy Records (Fred and Milton) "Shame, Shame, Shame..." for stealing Glens and so so many other gospel artist and Choirs of our publishing! In hind sight, an Entertainment attorney could have saved a lot of us from their predatory nature.
Always loved Dionne Warwick. I love her reaction to Glen's entrance. It's pretty magical. When the guy starts singing in a duet and the key actually goes up when he starts singing it's amazing. Great video!
Sang.....Whitney's first album came out in the same year as this performance. She must have been watching her cousin and Glenn perform on this particular night...because she gleaned from and used that Glenn Jones beast run at 4:05 - 4:10 many times in her performances.
THAT! ladies and gentlemen is what you call talent.
Beautiful. That young, talented man is doing well together with lady Dionne
It’s hard to believe that at one time you could flip on the television and see stuff such as this.
Not a any more

An excellent performance that you don’t see anymore. Gone are the days of class acts. I love this song.
There were many great vocalists in the past and even in the present but Dionne came second to no one. A rare voice even back in the day when singing was singing she stood out. Love her especially when she does duets. I can watch this over and over again. And I have.
Well done you two this song will last a lifetime. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
GLENN JONES DID THAT!!!!! The last minute of the song with his effortless vocals makes the whole song
Who is still listening in 2024???
Smart people who love and appreciate great music and the artists behind them.
Me❤
Hopefully all of us and then some!
Glenn Jones steals the show, what a voice!
Dionne sings with excellent diction and clarity. Glenn helped seal the deal with his smooth and powerful vocal.
Glenn Jones is a bad boy, You can see Dionne’s amazement. We all know how great Mrs Warwick is, that tone, phrasing, no wonder she was Bert Bachrach‘s favorite
Her diction is impeccable! Excellent tone.

Listen to the studio version. It’s good, but nothing like this. I love it that she’s actually laughing when he’s killing it. She knows. What a pro.
@@chuckcourt8277 And the UK live version is UNBELIEVABLE. All her (and an orchestra).
She's 80 years old today! Happy Birthday Aunty!
Beautiful duet! Their voices complement each other’s so well.
OL...Absolutely marvelous. What a beautiful song with such an amazing pair.. They blew this one out of the waters ❤💣

Beautiful Song, especially when they say It's Never to Late. Keep your Heart Open and you'll find Love.

A musical treat. Both extraordinary talents. Glenn Jones has inspired so many male singers

Was the theme, to a one season TV show, on ABC. Debuted during the 1984-85 season and replaced Fantasy Island.
I was so young when this came out, through the years I always love this song.
