    Yes, when on Water Island, I highly, highly recommend renting the beefed-up golf-carts! So much fun. You may each want to have your own! Even just for an hour and you can see the whole island and you'll probaly see a number of orange-footed turtles on your ride around. Usually no one else or maybe one car and one or two other carts and that's it, if that. They get going down the hills and fun to ride on the rough rods too! It's exciting and relaxing at the same time with great views! Don't wear a mask.

    I lived on the island for 30 odd years. You make some great choices. Thank you. 🥰🌴 PS: Coki Point was really much nicer back in the days before Coral World. There was only one bar at the end of the beach. They also sold local food. There would be a Domino game going on with a couple of local guys. The police would patrol the beach on horse back. Not that many people during the week. Weekends would have family's and friends. Sweet music coming from the bar. Now sadly it's over run. 😔 There would be a family member ( Crowley family) would be sitting on a folding chair, that would charge $.50 to come in.
    The small cemetery you see there is the family Crowley plot.

    I lived there for 30 odd years. You made some good choices. Sad to see what has become of Coki Point. Coral World was the beginning of the end with that beach. Now way over run, spoiling everything there. Use to be quiet most of the week and a little busy on the weekend. One bar and food stand , and a Domino game going on at the end of the beach. The bartender would play music from the bar. What a beautiful time it was. Blessed to experience those good old days. ❤️🏊🌴🏖️

Not too worried bc I will definitely be going back in the future. Great video hope you guys enjoyed as much as I did!

    Love your video, may I ask you a HUGE question...We want to fly into St. Thomas from California and stay for about 6-7 days, then take ferry with our 2 luggages to St. John and stay for 6-7 days, and then take another ferry to British Virgin Island and stay for another 6-7 days, and when it's over take ferry back, and then fly back to California (round trip, set dates coming back from British Islands). Is that doable? Thanks for your help!

    • @BrittChrisTravel
      @BrittChrisTravel  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you! We did not take any ferries to other islands since covid at the time, but that sounds very doable as long as the ferry has routes to the islands you are going to! Have fun on your trip it sounds amazing!

    • @BrittChrisTravel
      @BrittChrisTravel  3 года назад +1

      We rented a car, but we know other people who took taxis that their hotel provided! They said it was great since they didn't have to drive, but the taxi rides are a little nerve racking due to the fact the roads are so steep and curvy. Although the roads are scary, we never saw a car accident while there so it is pretty safe. If your hotel provides a taxi service I suggest you use that, or have them call a taxi for you since there is not Uber or Lyft there. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

    i arrived at the usvi yesterday. I tried using the Safari for riding but didnt have much luck with it. We ended up renting a car and my dumb mistake was to drive on the west side of the island which was nothing but going up and downhill! Completely regretted it but now with the car I can go pretty much anywhere. Is driving to Coki Island a lot of up and down hills as well? I'd like to visit but that's the only thing stressing me out. I didn't know about honeymoon beach or paradise point skyride which I will definitely go to. So far I'm having very mixed feelings about the Island lol

    • @BrittChrisTravel
      @BrittChrisTravel  2 года назад

      Driving can be very scary on the island! We rented a car too and had the same experience. We stayed in Charlotte Amalie and driving to where the ferry for honeymoon beach was very flat and a very easy drive. The drive to skyride was also flat from Charlotte Amalie so that would also be a good one to go to. The drive to Coki beach was a different story though. It was a lot of hills and turns, but its not impossible. If you stay around Charlotte Amalie its flatter than the other side of the island in our experience.

      @@BrittChrisTravel thanks a lot for your response! I think I can be a lot calmer going to Honeymoon beach since I'm driving to Redhook tomorrow, currently staying in French Town. Also I went to a place called "stir it up coffee shop and bakery". What I didn't expect was that paradise point skyride was literally across the street from it. So right after eating we went to the pirate museum which was well worth the experience and after to the skyride. It was a little cloudy but the view was still worth it. I'm planning to go again before I leave. Btw very good video. Is probably the best I've seen about St Thomas and gave me ideas of what to do. I subscribed right after watching it and currently watching your video of the grand canyon since I'd like to go next year! Sorry for the long comment but thanks a lot guys! I like your channel.

    • @BrittChrisTravel
      @BrittChrisTravel  3 года назад

      The hike was on Cas Cay which is in the Mangrove Lagoon. I do not believe the hike had a name since it was such a small Cay and there is only really the one trail. We got there by kayaking on the tour since there is really no other way to get there. Hope that helped!

    If you aren't an experienced driver, or a bad one, don't bother getting a car. You'll do more danger to yourself and others not knowing how to handle the terrain. We are used to driving a certain way here and tourists often end up in over their heads when they realize driving isn't easy here if you haven't been doing it your while life.

    • @BrittChrisTravel
      @BrittChrisTravel  3 года назад +1

      Yes! I believe some people don't realize how crazy the terrain can be especially if you aren't used to driving on the left side of the road.
