Schumacher has always been a great ambassador to the sport. Karting is not just a stepping stone to bigger formulas, it's a sport in itself. It's great to see car champions spreading the word. Although I'm pretty sure they are having a blast themselves!
No question about it, even though his return to F1 has been a bit lack luster, you cannot deny the overwhelming presence he exudes on and off of the track. Speed Sport TV
He will be sorely missed, I was hoping that he would he come to this year's event. I am hopeful that they will honor him in some way at this coming race. Kart Racer TV
@christosswc Totally agree with your comments, many of the F1 drivers realize what a value that Karting has provided for their careers and yes Karting is a "Sport" all to itself. Cheers!!!!
Do american eaven understand hes achievements? He is a living god. To handel a F1 car you have to be at the edge of what the body and mind can handle. No NASCAR driver could ever understand that. But you guys did a great job getting these two togheter. And R.I.P Dan You are like Senna never forggoten
"No Nascar driver could ever understand that...." This shows you are kind of clueless. There are many many Nascar drivers who could have been winning F1 drivers. Even AJ Allmendinger won Indy Car racers against former F1 drivers....and he struggled mightily in Nascar. In fact...Cup cars handle so poorly (they are under-tired relative to their mass), and change their characteristics so much during races, that drivers who race Cup develop a phenomenal feel for the tires, and an ability to adjust their driving style. Formula cars have a physicality that takes some adjustment, but that is about 1 test day.
Alfonso raced 125cc for some years. I remember him singing the national anthem at a Southern California Karters road race at Streets of Willow....then going racing.
Everything is good, big stars, racers... Only why all admire a concrete field with plastic barriers trying to call it a super track? At us is in the village of 1000 m of decent asphalt... Come to us to Ireland)))
mercedes is not the second biggest team in formula 1 !!! it´s mclaren !!! i know that they´re are combined companies in formula 1 for a while but the credit goes to mclaren not mercedes!!!

He did that in winter also.
Driving some races in a winter cup in Kerpen Germany.
His brother was his mechanic som times.
Yep, he used to race karts as well, I believe around the same time that he was in Fresh Prince. He sung the national anthem that year I think too.
@PlusOrMinusOne Absolutely concur with you, he was a great friend to the karting community and will be highly missed. KartRacerTV

Yes haha that's him... He's a big fan of the Moto world and karts himself.
