Ever wonder what it's like to land a single engine plane at a large Class B Airport like Philadelphia International? Well here you go, this a quick flight from KJYO (Leesburg) to Philadelphia (KPHL) in a cessna 182 g1000.
Route:
KJYO - WOOLY - V214 - DQO - KPHL
with an ILS 17 approach (then turned to visual)

This controller is brutal with the slow references 😂
I know, but it was kinda funny.
Guy would not let up haha
No, he wanted me and everyone else to know I was slow
Great video Brian. Glad to hear you are super BEEzy with the new business. Post when you can... Working hard is a good thing, cheers.
Great video, Brian! You are getting pretty good at this
Hi Brian!
Thank You ForThe 🛫♥️
Very Much Appreciated😁
Happy Safe 🛫All💞
Nice flying as usual !
Nice landing, PHL was the airport I would always fly out as a kid.
Awesome, this was a fun flight
How long did the flight take?
45 minutes
5:31 the start of the time-lapse scared the shit outta me. I thought you had mid-air collision for half a second 😂
That's funny... Never thought of it
weird how small planes look like flying cars when you've seen the inside
They really are
Brutal! 🤣 Heck, how fast does he expect a Skylane to fly an approach? (What was your approach speed before mile final anyway?) Seriously, though, I found your video while looking for light GA into PHL, long-term planning for a possible trip. Thank you!
Dude, I was riding downhill at full throttle, probably 140 kts until a mile out. I think they just like giving us crap. PHL is super easy and cheap for a class B. I know Atlantic gets a ton of crap in GA world, but they are very nice at PHL, I've taken the courtesy car to get cheesesteaks a few times.
@@bdanza thanks!
By the way what’s the name of that song that was playing in the middle of the video?
I can't remember, but I will look it up.
Great video! Would you be able to fly into Philly VFR, without a flight plan (or just with flight following)?
Yeah absolutely, I have done it a few times
@@bdanza Great! For some reason I thought Class B ATC wouldn't prioritize/clear VFR traffic. Can't wait to get my license later this month!!
Great vid! How's your bees?
The bees are great, bee content over at cherry blossom honey
awesome! going to check it out!
Nice centerline lol
Easy there... Direct crosswind, at least I was on the upwind side of the centerline.
@@bdanza Just joshin'
Some people have waaaaaaay to much money
Uh?
Enjoyed the video Brian. Hopefully to fly up to New York myself at some point.
I have an anxiety disorder. I watch this and think how screwed I'd be if I were solo piloting and had a major panic attack. Ugh. I wish I had the mental freedom you do. I'd give anything to be able to do things like this
I'm sorry you do
💞
The airport was featured in FAA’s From the Flight Deck
Haven't seen it, will have to watch
Flew right over my parents house on approach to 17
I should have brought water balloons
do they often go to that ShopRite in Eastwick? I've been there a few times
