I like the theme on that mod. I have all but given up using my DNA 75c mod because the screen has so much info that I can't read it without my reading glasses. I don't carry them around anymore since they break when I do.
I have been drooling over your mods for 2 years and just dropped my order !!!! Red with black buttons dna 250 . I also got the fastest shipping because i cant wait! i wanted to know do they come with custom ABM themes?
Woow that's not expensive at all I was very surprised, do you ship to the Netherlands? The quality off diy modding is so much higher then a standard factory box I like that
So I just purchased this kit and was so excited. but I had some questions and concerns because some of the components that came in the kit were different from what's in the video. so I emailed them about it. I promptly received an answer via email from analogdan? But this required further communication so I emailed again, no reply. And then again, no reply. And again. Still no reply so now because my concerns have not been laid to rest I cannot build the kit. All I can do is look at it.
I may finally get myself a dna 250c mod😁. Been buying 1 new atomizer & mod every year since switching fully to vaping from smoking. Almost didn't buy either this year. But I ordered a kayfun X last night lol. Might pick this up end of next month. I can solder good so that part is a breeze for me. Does solder type affect the ohm accuracy? I was thinking about using 63/37 instead of non leaded or silver. I have 4 mods, had to reflow the solder the 510 on a couple times from micro cracks(easily noticable with a scope). The ohm reading jumps around quite a bit when it happens.
I would like to do this with a DNA200 chipset I have noticed on the balance port there are 5 slots on the 250c chipset, how do I overcome this one the regular 200 with only 4 slots? Forgot to add this, I will not be charging my batteries through the device either
Really nice looking mod. I do have a quick question, do you have a kit in black anodized with dual 18650's in series. Thanks for your time and your channel.
Here is a 4s lipo that fits the ABM-2XL enclosure, imgur.com/fh97K06 You've got aprox 90mm*35mm*26mm of space for the lipo in this enclosure. This enclosure was intended for 2x20700/21700 like in the video, the ABM-2XLT is a bit taller and easier to use with a lipo, like this this video, ruclips.net/video/SlIbxprXDCI/видео.html
I ordered this exact kit but from what Im reading, this enclosure sled (analogboxmods.ca/Box-Mod-Parts/Battery-Holders/2x20700-ABM-2XL-Eclosure_Sled) will not work with that ABM-2XL housing a DNA 250c, correct? I was hoping to be able to cover the guts and make it look clean. If not, oh well. Certainly not a deal breaker..
Ok so awesome tutorial! One question, Does wiring the balance charge ports the way you did allow to charge the batts through the onboard USB like when using a lipo?
Yes, not sure if I mentioned it in the video but you also need to connect to escribe and configure the board for 2 cells, on the Mod --> Battery Tab. Page 14 of the datasheet shows 2s wiring like this, downloads.evolvapor.com/dna250color.pdf
I was seriously considering getting one.. I do want a dual 21700 DNAc mod.. but just watching you solder the battery sled together is giving me anxiety.. lol.
@@AnalogboxmodsCanada do you or will you have ABM-2XL enclosure w/o a recess? The shape, dimensions, fit and finish of the parts and enclosure is perfect for a 2x21700 DNA 250C box mod! I just realy want to mount a 30mm 510 connector...
@@stefanszabo4891 I don't think so... I need to have hundreds made when I do a CNC run, I don't think there is enough interest for us to move that many.
@@AnalogboxmodsCanada thank you for the reply. I've been on the fence about ordering a kit for a few weeks now, with the 510 being raised being the only drawback. I understand why you didn't do it, you would have to make a different enclosure for each option of 510 placement. Is there a countersink tool I could buy to do it myself? Is it not an option to reconfigure the battery tray and swap the bottle/battery placement and have the 510 on the button side of the box for both versions?
Without a mill, I wouldn't attempt countersinking the 510 myself, some people say to use a drill press, a vice and forstner bit but those are made for wood and will destroy the bit. In retrospect, I should have swapped the bottle and battery placement and had the 510 pre-drilled and recessed. I will next batch, all future enclosures will have a recessed 510.
@@AnalogboxmodsCanada. Dan thanks for the reply again. I guess that means I should buy 2. One now and then another when the new boxes are made. Lol. Thanks for the info, and by the way thanks for putting the kits together.
Mine came without screw holes how the hell do I mount the board??? I ordered an internally mounted board assuming that would provide everything I needed to complete this build. The boxes are also the absolute minimum size possible to fit anything and it's INCREDIBLY tight, any mistakes and nothing fits. While trying to make the stupid thing work I broke the screen. I just wanted a cool homemade mod not a space maximized production looking tiny thing that I can't barely even take apart to change the battery without having to move all the wires inside it.
If you selected the internal mount there are no board mounting holes, you screw the board onto the board holder then epoxy it inside the enclosure. Here is a vid where I do the internal mount method, ruclips.net/video/gXsCxnBXCJw/видео.html

The max output power depends on the input voltage, the more batteries/cells in series, the higher the input voltage and the higher the max output power will be. There is a table at the bottom of page 17 of the datasheet that shows the relation between cell count/input voltage and the resulting output power, downloads.evolvapor.com/dna250color.pdf . Some high end lipos can have lower internal resistance and less voltage drop which are both desirable but I personally don't vape hard enough to push the batteries to the point where this would be noticeable.

No problems shipping to Ireland :)

Did you go into escribe and change the battery config to 2s? The default is 4s which would show 4% for fully charged 2s.
