@@AshleyCowieFilms Personality disorders and even milder mental health issues like depression are all linked to self obsession. With PD's like narcissism and psychopathy, power and control are also prime drivers in how they function. Sadism is also a factor that comes with the desire for power and control. For want of a better term, 'normal people' are quite lazy, therefore combative interaction with other people is stressful. Exerting power and control over others is exhausting. People who wish only to immortalise and empower themselves are only focused on their needs and objectives, the impact on others does not cause them stress. No guilt, regret, remorse etc...Therefore the most mentally unstable rule the world. The only true evil is mental health. People with personality disorders are the most successful people in the world , if you judge success in relation to power.
If you wanted to change the world you would have to start out by enforcing all politicians to take a Personality Disorder test and filter them out. If no politicians had narcissism or psychopathy, they would be able to regulate big business, finance, banks etc and hold them to account from an empathetic concern for the people. However as with drug testing in sport, the psychologists doing the testing would be corrupted because the PD's hold all the power. There are as many people with personality disorders in socialism/communism as there are with the capitalist elite. People mad hungry for power are in the main mentally unstable of whatever political persuasion. Know your enemy...perhaps you can change your world by getting rid of the PD's in your life or at least knowing them for what they are if you can't feasibly cast them out. Aulterism (empathetic movers and shakers with power) are actually quite rare, Sir David Attenborough springs to mind. Sadly most kind, good hearted people just want an easy life, like I said, good people but lazy on the world stage...if you want to identify the PD's you know personally, they will usually be looking to exert power in one way or another that you find unsettling/unnerving...they could be a family member, a boss, a work colleague, an alpha male friend, a cold hearted, materialistic female...they often cheat and lie. You may even like them, they are often funny and charismatic, almost addictive but also high maintenance and at times they bring chaos and emotional pain into your life. I guess it's a matter of how extreme they are and how much dis-ease they bring into your life...
@@AshleyCowieFilms My work is psychology based. I'm not an official expert but my work is entirely based in its understanding. Crowley like many interesting people throughout history was probably a vile human being to know personally, utterly untrustworthy and self serving but the modern occult world owes him a great debt and he certainly appeals to the rebel spirit. As for PD's today influencing the world in which we live. I think all we can do is look after ourselves as best we can and have our intuitive radar aware of those who would do us harm. It's been good to talk about something that effects us all...
@@AshleyCowieFilms I was more interested in his personality, the presence of the man when he walked into a room. His X Factor if you will. I studied him for quiet a while when I was following the Druid tradition. I'm non practising now, although of course a spiritual connection to nature will remain forever. Funny, when you really delve into our native tradition you realise the Neolithic stone circle culture and the Druids held two completely different religious beliefs. I'm even drawn to the possibility that the Druids exterminated the priesthood of Stonehenge etc...

Great video, but one small thing. The Abramelin was done in the Drawing Room, not that room. Notice the doors to the outside are facing north. He added those doors specifically to have doors facing north.
Ashley, I am mind blown. I’ve done tons of research on the man. It’s always hard for me to believe a human lived the way AC lived. It is soo deeply interesting and almost addicting, studying his life for nothing but curiosity. Amazing video. I have to ask, how was it? Did you feel anything internal during/after visiting boleskine? Did you need any special permission? What was going through your head while in the home? You got balls!
Hi Dennis. I share your almost obsessive interest in Crowley's works. I am sure he'll be the next Tesla, someone who everyone looked at, got totally wrong, but later looked at again and after stripping back the layers of shite, see the man for what he was. This said, when you get to the guts of his work one finds little if anything to fear, in any way. Contrary to 99% of what you will hear out there, he wrote on several occasions, especially clearly in his introduction to the Lesser Keys, that demons are purely "mental constructs" created by the magician as tools. He laughed at people who believed in "real" supernatural goings on and urged for constant skepticism in everything one experiences as religious or spiritual. Understanding this, I held no fears in exploring his home and I was able to meditate into the sounds of the birds, the burns and the wind, he elements with which he would have interacted with daily during his ritual. Saying that, "I created" thunderous states of terror on occasion, but that came from me outwards, when I investigated the sandy terrace upon which he had the Dukes of Hell manifest. The house is now sold and as such I am editing a new short film about his attempt at Loch Ness to attain conversation with the Holy Guardian Angel. The question is why there? Why not anywhere else between London and Loch News? There is a clear answer to this which is a thing of historical beauty. Remember to Subscribe and hit the bell for notifications. @@AshleyCowieFilms lest not forget the cannabis and peyote ;)...didn't Crowley 'learn' magick initially from an occultist who moved into his home and was a drug addict, he would do phases of various drugs and then repeat. Crowley initially writings allude a substance but never named the drug..but mentions peyote in other instances. I'll have to do more research re him thinking it all as solely 'mental constructs' as occultists I know work with entities regularly ;) What an absolutely stunning area, the Loch, the trees, can almost smell the air and wind, stunningly beautiful is your country , thx for sharing it with us.

Is it true that he stopped the 6 month ritual 3 or 4 months into it? I watched another documentary that said it was due to how exhausting it was but I don’t know nearly enough as to if this is true or not?
Yes, it is considered a commonly accepted fact that Crowley never completed the ritual. He claimed he stopped due to the rigorousity of the fasting, sleep deprivation, and isolation. You have to keep in mind that during this ritual he never left the home, barely slept, and ate only when it was absolutely necessary.
