I remember when we threw grenades. Scariest moments of my life. We started out with decoys that didnt explode and we had to throw them through a window. I couldn't throw for shit. Then we moved to the real deal and had to throw them through a tall window. I threw that thing so far. I was thinking that i would miss and come back and blow us up.
I remember how funny it was when my son came home after learning how to throw the grenades and we were laughing soo hard because he almost did a "Heisman" pose. But for anyone who had never thrown a football or baseball, I can understand why they have to actually teach this.
a ball is a more familiar shape for throwing, and it won't roll too far if you cook it for a couple seconds before throwing. Obviously at the training range you are not going to cook a grenade.
man those little suckers pack a punch. the vibration is what actually kill you if you do manage to avoid the explosion. I wonder how long it will take until we find some personal protection to grenades .
I had a grenade thrown at me in Iraq and it blew up right next to me. Trust me it sucked but I survived. Good luck guys and be careful. I was in charlie 1-19 in 2004.
@christhegreatish I heard that Dragon skin got halted since they had some issues with extreme cold. I do hope that they fix the issues with dragon skin because it can save your life

Everyone's casual with the grenades. Until the first real grenade blows up. Then everyone is nervous about their grenades, LOL

the training seems kinda annoying but when you get to throw the actual grenade is what seems pretty damn fun lol

You can carry more round grenades than you can stick, and I thought I remembered hearing that they were rendered unsafe? Correct me if I'm wrong.
