      I will likely do a quick video on it sometime. I love the added versatility vs a regular carabiner. Prolly also time for me to do an edc bag update too!
      Thanks!

    I like and appreciate your reverse style. Most others just remove everything from their bags and end the video with a mess. Your video is as informative as it’s satisfying.

    I noticed below that someone mentioned taking the "cat" out of the wrapper, and you mentioned you were going to do that!!! One thing I do with all my bags is put a tourniquet on the outside of the bag for quick access!!! Also I prestage them so they are ready to go!!!! Overall, nice video!!!!

      Funny you should mention that. I was just watching a video by PrepMedic on how to fold and use tourniquets. So I have now done that for all of mine!
      It will show up in another video soon. Stay tuned

    When I used to travel through Europe I was very large (fat) , aka unlikely to find clothes on the local markets. So I always had a spare set of clothes with me, even on the tour bus. On one occasion my brother in-law developed the runs and had a major accident and all the suitcases had gone ahead. He was glad I could provide him a change although they were hilariously large. Moral of the story. It pays to have backups.

    I like the way you put in the items INTO your bag rather than the usual of putting them out. In that way we can see how you organise. Try to use a shoulder or messenger bag & compare which is more adaptable. Thanks 😊

    Baofeng radios only give you about 2km line of site range. Also it's a monocular, not a monocle.

    • @Old83
      @Old83  2 года назад

      Yes. Get your ham license and you can use repeaters. Make that 2km grow by quite a bit.
      Thanks for the catch 😂. It is indeed a monocular!

  • @HarryLHeckler

    Way to go -- nice to see you using a non-tactical "normal" backpack! It's a welcome and practical change, vs. most on RUclips, which use these tactical-looking packs, yet claim they are "grey man". Most are probably sponsored or were given these packs as "free samples". Keep up the good work!

    • @Old83
      @Old83  3 года назад

      Thanks! As an edc bag this one does great.
      And you are spot on with all the tacticool goons out there. My bug out bag is camo but I want to get a non tactical pack cover so I can have options. Grey man is going to keep you alive much longer.

    • @christopher_martin
      @christopher_martin 3 года назад +1

      i think grey man is an over thought idea that does not make sense...in a bad situation if you were looking to attack or rob someone which person would you go after the guy with the guy with the military looking backpack which is obviously into guns, knives and might have military training or the college student that will be an easy target....if you were in Iraq or at war you might not want to associate yourself with any military, then it would make sense since the whole grey man idea is meant for war time and conflict areas but in the streets of an average city even one who has just had a natural disaster or terrorist attack its not a bad idea to let people know you might not be an easy target like the average joe (greyman)....just my opinion but think for yourselves, the greyman idea is popular on youtube right now and people jump on it without thinking about it from all angles....great video and great bag!

    I have the older version of this bag and the Borralis, and I like it a lot, specially the front pocket is bigger, the one in this version is a little tighter and smaller, and the newest version of the Recon is even smaller..

    I like your set-up; it seems to fit your requirements. I especially like that you carry extra underwear because your Dad said to. You may never use that underwear, but what a wonderful way to remember your Dad, how practical and caring he was, every time you get into that part of your bag! 😀

    Add some work gloves and headlamp, with common batteries. Nice setup, how much does it weigh?

    • @Old83
      @Old83  3 года назад

      Hey thanks! Work gloves are a great idea. I keep some in my bug out bag (video coming soon) but I definitely should add some to this. Especially considering how cheap you can get some.
      I don’t have a headlamp mostly because I have a flashlight in my on body EDC. I have a video out on it already (ruclips.net/video/A1kPN-0F2rM/видео.html) and it even doubles as a powerbank. It’s a pretty sweet light.
      Whole setup weighs 18lbs including my work stuff. I’d dump that in an emergency.

    • @Old83

    • @Old83
      @Old83  3 года назад

      Agreed. Seems to get the most comments for sure. I think I might stage it right next to the radio or in the dump pouch. I’ve also seen some good videos recently on how to best set it up for quick deployment and might have to do one of my own. Learning a lot! Thanks.
