Fun and informative video. Like it. Some of my observations: Punctuality - Czech etiquette (in books) actually says that a person is supposed to arrive at the host's home for an event at their home about 10 minutes past the set time to allow the host to finish preparations. This is a rule of Czech etiquette that I actually really like (10 minutes is nice and takes away the stress of being too late or too early) but most Czech people I know have never heard of it and many consider it rude to arrive even 1 minute late, so they arrive early, which I do not like (I am Czech-American), so I try to tell people a time frame (eg between 14:00- 14:30). When it comes to BBQs, it really depends on the people you know and their living situation - many Czech people do having "grilling parties". and grill meat/steak. People in Moravia tend to host larger social group celebrations - they tend to have more large birthday parties and invite 70 people (my husbands family is from Moravia). I hope you find a way to live the lifestyle that you want to live and that works for you. Cheers.
I have to remember who is going late, who is going too early and who is going exactly on time so I am saying different times to each person. It's complicated math force them be there in same time. :-D I think family sundays are good think, people with normal families are doing it even here, I wish I had normal family and this was possible, but it's not possible, half of family is not speaking with second half and someone wants to kill someone else etc...it's complicated. :-D

Stacha Stochmol yes they make money by aligning with robbers and kidnapping you :) nah sorry the sarcasm but they are not safe. Some people have taxi driver friends that they call always directly. But you don’t just pick a taxi in the street. Like ever. In margarita island is more common to taxi around and you do have a couple of very trusted agencies. But in caracas I wouldn’t risk it.
Drunk and Drive isn't allowed in Czech Republic, if you are drunk and police stop you in your vehicle, you in most cases lost your driving license for few months.
I know! Here is extreme. Then in some countries you can have one beer or a couple of wines and drive. In Venezuela is forbidden but they will never stop you. Also in America they only stop you if you commit an infraction. If not you have the right of not being stopped for random checks. The bad side of this is potential accidents the bright side is the natural grow of the cities cause people can go downtown to eat and drink and drive back home

I don't really understand what's stopping you from wearing high heels, inviting group of friends for a steak dinner (i.e. you have a group of friends) and juicing apples or even more of other fruits in the Czech Republic. No one is going to look at you weird for wearing high heels. Apples juice really good, that's how cider is made btw. Of course you can't expect abundance of exotic fruits like you get in Venezuela (cheaply) but you can definitely juice apples, oranges, pears, cherries, plums, peaches, nectarines, berries, black/redcurrants, clementines, quinces, etc.
I think drinking and driving is the least of our problems in Venezuela hahaha tbh. And juice mmm I’ll make a video on what I meant cause I see nobody got what’s juicing for us. Is a blender thing. @@ArepasforDinner yes, you re right :) and thanks for answer
You had me at the rums ;-)
Hahaha all the good ones
Gracias buen video. Saludos desde Perú. Nos veremos pronto junto a mi esposa por allá. :D
Excelente!!!! Gracias por verlo!! 😁
Those fat sausages you buy to roast on a campfire are called either vuřty or špekáčky . Vuřty = formal form of what everyone calls buřty. But when you are in a shop trying to buy them, they are mostly called libové párky.
That sausage is called "wurst" in german. E.g. "Das ist mich wurst."
Hi Andrea, do you have it bistro on Vinohrady? I love this place and im still thinking about if you have something with it😆thx
I want to do a collab with them soon enough. Maybe in a couple of weeks 😅
@@ArepasforDinner well its great, im looking forward some event with you there. Let us know!!!
I see myself in the food it's so good
Specially BBQ parties we're doing it almost everytime well I'm from Moravia so it's kinda obvious, we don't care if it's raining of not we will still do BBQ and I frickin love it like me and food are best friends. And we drink a lot at these parties😂.
But do you do steak tho? I’ve being to czech bbq and they were fun but no side dishes no meat from a cow!.. was more like sausages and bread
@@ArepasforDinner well yeah it's more like sausages and bread but we do steaks too.
you can try to make video or some posts where you show some looks with heels :) i think that would be nice because you are really beautifull ;) and about BBQ i got it like u had it in Venezuela, we really like it :D it is nice to meet friends and have some nice food :)
I do!!! I share it on Instagram all the time!! But about the bbq do you grill steak?! From the cow? That’s what I meant 😂 like for us Americans don’t do it neither cause besides Texas they don’t do the Brazil/Argentina/Venezuela type of bbq. Jan couldn’t believe it the first time he saw it. Neither his parents
@@ArepasforDinner well, cow is really not ussual:D most likely pork or chicken :D
Love how you say “love” . What do you think about Karel Gott?
Pardon my ignorance but I have no clue who that is 😳
@@ArepasforDinner Propably the most famous Czech singer, deceased
I can totally relate to the ice thing! I miss my drinks full of ice!! :( hahah I also miss going to any convenience store or supermarket and being able to buy a freezing cold soda or juice.
Yessss like that beer in the photo!!! I miss that too hahaha
No draft beer?
How can any Czech survive there?
They say once they see margarita they are ok with the lack of draft 😂
@@ArepasforDinner do they know margarita is an island?
Victor Medina hahaha maybe not right ok
I meant ISLA margarita haha not the drink haha
Everyday fresh juice, that's my dream.
Now there's inexpensive watermelons everywhere... So now it's juice season for me hahaha
@@ArepasforDinner i thought also to make fresh juices, by just thinking about expensiveness, stopped me.
When was the last time you were in Venezuela?
January 2019 😢😢 was supposed to go in August but my flight got cancel. So I’ll be there for Christmas!
Because latin america is the paradise but unfortunately with less rights but it is how it is I love Latin america💕
Yes Venezuela is a bizarre bizarre country. Beautiful but ruled by mad people
Hmm fresh juices with rum daily, yam yam :D
Hahaha
@@ArepasforDinner well, strawberries with rum or pineapple with rum are good. You just have to know how much rum and how much fruit and then how much to drink so that you are not in steam all the time :D

Ahoj) i love your english) you are perfect i am czech and my english is soo bad but when u are talking ...it is so easy to understand for me .
.i understand you and thats suuuper)))thank you for everything
Oooh so glad it’s helping you! It’s not perfect by any means but I try! 💜💜
i want to move to Venezuela from now.
Me too. Once the dictatorship is over tho
Me encanta que no editas casi nada. 💖🇲🇽
just small note to "almost nobody is baptised".... Well around 30% of population declares to be Catholic, and around 40% of population is baptised in total, so it's not that uncommon. But it's true that in Prague it's signitificaly less (and for example east Moravia much more)
mmmm thank you I had no idea! That makes sense
Btw to say that drink driving is OK is ridiculous. You may want to rethink saying things like that in the future.
I think drinking and driving is the least of our problems in Venezuela hahaha tbh. And juice mmm I’ll make a video on what I meant cause I see nobody got what’s juicing for us. Is a blender thing. You don’t need a special machine. The bbq babe my house is 70sqm counting balcony jajaj I don’t see that option. In my dinner table only 4 people can seat. I don’t think it’s doable. Not Venezuelan style at least. And high heels. I guess you are a boy 😂
@@ArepasforDinner Girl here, you can easily wear higheels in Prague - just need some practice. Juice - I don't understand why it's impossible to do it here. Just adjust 🤷 and driving while drunk is never a small problem. It's so dangerous not just to you but also other people. That can be never addressed as ok 🤦
@@ArepasforDinner and the parties...there are always options. Either squeeze the people pushing in (trust me, it's possible) or get Airbnb for one party night. Just use your imagination. We also do BBQ parties in a forest or park where it is allowed of course
@@boutek I don't think she meant its ok in general, she clearly said its normal in Venezuela (and apparently not here). Different country, different habits. We do drink alot in general (mostly beer though), even kids drink quite often and many ppl here think its ok.
Go to the barbecue,or be invited to..is absolutely normal in czech republic, but you live in prague..,that's not czech republic...We are making meats, sausages, salads at ours cabins, gardens, even in the forrest with our friends...a lot...
I meant cow bbq nothing else but big pieces of meat. You guys don’t have that here. It’s almost non existent in all Europe is a South American east coast thing 😂
Pekne vysvetlujes ako to je normalne vo Venezuele, ale ako to je v Cesku uz tak podrobne nevysvetlis. Daj tam viac prikladov ako to je v CR.

I came in December 2017
Many people think it's an american thing, but it's actually more of an american thing.
Hahahah literally. I always make the distinction haha continent or country haha
I can disappoint you now... Nobody use heels nowadays in Venezuela either
Bbbbuuuj quarenteens
Latinas are always rockin those high heels. Doesn't matter if they are walking down a gravel road they are gonna do it in heels!
TheMVCoho 100%% hahaha and doesn’t matter the height. Jeans and high heels is a lifestyle 😂💜💜
Hi, *WERE NORMAL IN VENEZUELA! ;D
Thank you just fixed it!!! I honestly don’t write in English as much as I speak and listen to it 😂😂 thanks again
Lol I'm realizing Prag is not very nice city to live in :D
oh, going to jungle... :-O
That was fun
Oh, you don't like typical czech apple juice called "mošt" - why?! :D I love it, mostly in fall we picked up all those apples in the garden and made mošt on our own as it used to be normal thing in villages as I was a kid :) My parents still have got this machine ;)
ruclips.net/video/EXeaDfny2tw/видео.html paavlaamaan
I love most so much hahah but I don’t dare to make it at home by blending apples with water hahaha I tried making it. It was horrendous haha
Our juices need no machine that’s what I meant. Only a blender nothing else
@@ArepasforDinner please never ever mix it with water :D But you are right, apples are not the type of fruit you can make juice/mošt of in a few seconds like oranges for example ;)
@@ArepasforDinner yeah, it is easier to make juice from exotic fruit
@@ArepasforDinner You don't add a water at all. You just grate apples (not peeled, but washed) and push/wring gratings for the juice. The gratings are then used (or stored and then used) for apple strudel.
Andrea sure you probably know Karel Gott if you listen any Czech radio 😾
why can you not wear high heels here? I see girls wearing them outside sometimes...
- I just don't think they are very comfortable...
ooh, because of pavement? ... Yeah, I guess that could be annoying...

the religious situation is very different in smaller towns and villages
You do have more Catholics?
@@ArepasforDinner Yeah I haven't seen official statistics but I'm pretty sure there are many more catholics in villages and small towns. It's mostly older people and they can be pretty conservative so young people are "running away" to bigger cities and leaving that culture behind
