Make a box using any hard material (even cardboard can help also), and install a home air filter in front and back by double layer each. will reduce the noise level by 10db easily
My Nano ran for 28 days at High Level around 4.13 th , and then it stopped hashing. We are in a heat wave the past month, so I restarted changed to Medium level and have had no issues in the last 8 days and it is hashing at 3.08 th average. Will bump it back up in the Autumn to the high level, and I have 2 more on order. I will just have to run them at the proper level for my environment according to the seasons.
I’m at 4.1TH after getting USB-C rated for 140W. The cable I purchased has a micro display on one end that shows how many watts the Nano 3 is pulling. 126W@4.1TH. I have it connected to a 140W USB-C brick that has 140W at the port. Some multi port PS bricks split the watts up between the ports. Make sure you check power specs at the USB-C ports before buying.
Sheetrock is a good sound barrier when applied in multi layers and it also doubles as a fire barrier. I know perforated metal sheets applied to 6 inch urethane is used in industrial applications.
I got 3 of these recently from mineshop with their 'recommended' PSU as they don't sell the original PSU. After 3 days they will only run on LOW mode as they keep resetting on anything higher. If anyone gets one of these make sure you get an original or decent PSU to go with it. The 140W 'macbook style' PSUs just don't cut it.
@@colabottle3386 I've heard lots of people saying the original power supply is the only one that can get them on high. Very strange that only specific ones will do the trick! Good for others to know about though
The small foam pads don’t really offer any sound dampening , it’s all about layering , I’d recommend adding some mass loaded vinyl underneath some acoustic barriers mate
I know what you mean but because the room is always cool they aren't too hot to the touch. They have been in the past but now with a good air flow they stay happy

@@Studio-tj6bm I think this will be a common theme for everybody as time goes on. Just a shame you can't maximise your chances by keeping it on high
@@BlueBearCrypto yes you can they sell heat sinks for raspberry pi's stick 2 or 3 inside and it drops the temp 25 degrees done deal boom back on high.

Mine resets with the OEM factory PSU on high.. it won’t run on high mode
Ty
EBay have some acoustic barriers - h8 echo acoustic barrier . These would be ideal to dampen the sound
Thanks! These look like a more industrial solution than the small foam pads!

Certainly welcome to put my name on the wall buddy!
My nano stops avg 7-8 hours (too much rejected) and then restart why?
@@MrGolyo-ru1zp possibly overheating?
@@BlueBearCrypto hmm i will put outside and see :D
@@MrGolyo-ru1zp try resetting also! Hopefully it's one of those two issues
suggest anti static tiles for the flooring
Yeah? I was thinking about getting plastic rugged tiles down the line but I don't think I need to worry with static too much standing on wood
mine stopped working and restarts after 10 minutes. got the unit in the mail just two hours ago. these miners appear to be duds
Deffo try full reset/ changing pool settings etc. if not reach out to Canaan for advice
What are you mining pal. 🇬🇧
Bitcoin cash on the nano and Bitaxe gamme, currently aleo and neoxa on the GPUs
And what pool have you left the nano on?
You can put me on the wall if you get a chance, buddy 👍
just use 5/8 sheet rock for sound

This guy is right, get those things standing vertically...not laying flat (horizontally). Makes a huge difference and i have tested this at length
They're now sitting on wired racking and temps are massively cooler. The KS0 pros are now happy!
