I'm a fan of Ringo's entire Christmas album; my personal favorite track is The Christmas Dance....
Both John and Paul liked to bark! You can hear Paul barking at the end of "I Feel Fine" and during the outtakes of "I'm Down."

Thanks for sharing. I learned about the Christmas recordings as a teenager, when I bought the "Rarities" album, of all things. The album notes for "You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)" said that song had the spirit of their Christmas fan club records. Seems like one of the local radios stations played a couple of them back in the '80s. In 2019 or 2020, I finally tracked them down and listened to them on RUclips. Interesting stuff. I listened to the “Beatles Christmas Album” every year, and it was fantastic. I like it mixing in with other Christmas songs by Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, etc.

I remember receiving the Beatles Album in 1967. It was strange and really cool - having heard Sargent Peppers around the same time.
I had a vinyl LP with all the Christmas message on it. It was hilarious. They were like Monty Python. The 1965 one is especially hysterical. Total lunacy.

There's been a recording of George Michael's Last Christmas made by some Beatles-cover band. And the performance was so convincing that I've been sure for a decade it's a Beatles song. Finally some GM fans have proved me wrong, but that makes a funny story.
That would be *Rubber Band* from Denmark. They released a christmas album in 1995.
My personal favorite is their version of *Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree.*

At 5:05 it is said that Tiny Tim is "doing a cover of "Nowhere Man" introduced by George". That is actually PAUL McCARTNEY imitating Tiny Tim ! Please get your facts right. How do I know this? I've listened to these recordings for decades and Paul could hit those high vibratos. Plus, PAUL refers to Tiny's wife as "Miss Jill", when she was actually Miss Vicky. A flub by Paul but still an endearing one. It is PAUL, not Tiny.
They never actually released a Christmas song about Christmas.

It shouldn't bother me I know, but it really irritates me whenever I hear anyone talk about the "timeless Christmas song" that John Lennon wrote. Lennon wrote lyrics to "Happy X-Mas (War is Over)" PERIOD. The melody is from an old folk song about a racehorse called "Stewball". Lennon didn't even bother arranging the melody in anyway and just simply lifted Peter, Paul & Mary's arrangement of "Stewball". What a revolutionary he was - lifting melodies and arrangements from those crazy radicals who brought us power anthems like "Puff the Magic Dragon".
Eh, there’s some similarities, but there’s enough differences to give the old boy a pass.

"Xmas" is pronounced as "Christmas", not "X Mass"!! Xmas is just a shortening of the spelling of Christmas in the written down form, not the spoken form!
