Compared to the first version which looked like Cartoon lockpicks, I'd say this is a significant improvement. The kit is functional, a little chunky, but it's not a novelty so well done Grim, thanks for the review, can't wait to see the other 2 cards, they do look very interesting. As for the price, I'm in the US so that works for me, but international shipping could add another 15 USD so keep that in mind.
I find small picks hard to manipulate- handles help immensely at my low skill level. Shouldn't be your entry-point to picking or you'll be frustrated with your lack of success.
actually fixed my first lock last night (without losing anything) looking forward to seeing that latch bypass tool as i ruined my game loyalty card trying to break in to my own bathroom. turns out one of the little screws holding the latch bolt in had a twisted head and the factory had just tightened it down anyway but it had finally worked loose enough that the wonky screw head interfered.
I find them too expensive. The two lock pick cards alone cost $63 Canadian, I can buy a Sparrows lock pick set cheaper than that. I do have mini-tools but they are not dependents of being in only one form, some are Ti, some plastic, some diamond, some spring steel all depending on your tasks and needs. If you are at a trade show, keep an eye out for companies giving out magnetic business cards or magnetic bumper stickers. You can reuse them for steel card kits, and sometimes the company info can be peeled off the black magnet to give a cleaner look. I wonder if an Xacto blade handle would hold those mini picks? Maybe mini picks could be used on 20mm locks?
The card with the hooks looks like they could have fitted another five picks in the negative space and some tension tools in the frame. What a lost opportunity. The only reason I see to choose this over the Lockmaster card, which costs about the same and offers more tools in one card, is that sticky back which makes it possible to get the kit back to its original state after use.
These seem like a good edc emergency kit, however, these are not for me due to the frequency I have to pick locks. I end up carrying a full set of multipicks for this reason
I'm thinking the micropicks are designed for tiny keyways, like suitcase locks and so on. I mean, the card has full-size versions of the same rakes, more or less.
I found these very annoying to use (old version), I binned mine and decided to spend a bit more on the Southord pen pick set for my edc, when you take into account the price of importing Grimworkshop card kits to the UK on top of the actual price it’s not that big of a difference.
Hey, hopefully you see this. I know how much you love all brass padlocks & I happen to have a beautiful all brass Lockwood padlock for sale atm. Let me know if you’re interested!

Decent little EDC maybe not as amazing as the TOOOL set which I’d love another set of! Still a decent alternative.

if they get you out of a pickle then they have done there job great video Ash mate 👊😊😎🇬🇧👍
I had my doubts on those micro picks until you lashed the one on the stick. Something I might consider buying and putting it in a bug out bag.
You would be better off buying a Sparrows EOD kit. It's cheaper and vastly more useful.

Can you make a full review of the Covert Companion
I can give you the run down. It's cool. Made in China though.

@LockNoob can you make a review of the Peterson escape and evasion sets?
Obviously what you need to do is send those micro rakes to @BrettSucks he really knows how to rake like a total professional 😃👍👍👍

they do look better but not for me i prefer sparrow chaos cards
Does anyone else find these to be extremely overpriced?
