Actually, this game has very deep storyline, but only hardcore fans could appreciate it in best possible way.

Fair. I guess I was just trying to say that you don't really need to know much about the story of Metroid to enjoy playing Dread.

My only complaint with dread and Metroid on the whole because I just played prime again, it’s the late game upgrades are just so late you never get to really enjoy them. I mean you literally get the plasma beam so late in prime. You get plasma, you kill omega pirate , you grab the last few artifacts, fight Ridley and then face Metroid prime and the games over. At most it’s two hours with the plasma beam. And the fact there’s the flamethrower which is literally useless by then because it doesn’t work on Ridley much is very disappointing. And it’s even worse because you just spent the last chunk of the game running around the ice beam and it ends up feeling like the plasma beam is just a back track tool and not really a weapon. And don’t get me started on echoes. Beam ammo is such a terrible idea. The amount of time spent farming beam ammo from the stupid pod creatures…ugh. I really love Metroid but ever since my first Metroid game I’ve always had this gripe.
