the easiest way to beat darius is to either buy a viper or a corvette, tune engine for top speed and trans for acceleration and tires for grip. It absolutely destroys him

@Eggsdayz Yeah, i also played the whole game with the 240SX. I am doing it again rn with the AE86 and I think it will be quite a bit harder to do the last race, because the normal races are also a lot harder. But, if I make it, ill try to beat the game with the dumptruck or firetruck.

@@Rory_shi I remember, the very first time I finished Carbon on PS2 (now play on pc), I used the SLR McLaren fully upgraded. Beat him with no issues whatsoever. Acceleration is insane on that thing!!

Canyon race against Darius was easy with Evo, passed him first try on first corners, but with the murcielago it was really painful, took more than 2 hours
And it gets worse with the Gallardo...
For real the EVO was easy. Both Lamborghini were a challenge but not even that hard. I think it's really tough for those big long muscle cars such as the Charger R/T.
I tried doing it with the Corvette until successfully pass him in the 1st turn. Worked after a while

@@JasonA1124 yeah the tuning makes a HUGE difference. I beat the game with a decked out r34, and i had to tune the shit outta it.

It took me weeks upon weeks to beat this final race. I could make it to the canyon but I couldn't get ahead. I finally beat it in my grandparents RV on a trip to the mountains. Best feeling ever. You had to get ahead of Darius at the first corner of the canyon to win.

Couldn't beat the game with corvette/viper/murcielago/Carrera on PS2 when I was about 11, got it recently on PC and beat Darius first try with the R34 lol

I do not remember playing this game to try and beat the story. I never really enjoyed playing Carbon when i played it. I remember playing Hot Pursuit 2 raging as a squeaky kid and getting yelled at because of it, now thats a meme. I also only played these old games on the GameCube.
I only played Most Wanted on the PS2, as a kid i never knew the release order of these games. I only got these games very late at most 5 years after each were released.
I loved both of the Undergrounds, man they were a real masterpiece of its time. Then i got into playing basketball games and Call of Duty until now.

Bruh exotics are just to look good. Tuners cars are where you get the MEATY cars.

@@hopy2492 Nah they don’t do well in the corners. Unless if you use the Dodge Viper. Which is ok, but I prefer tuners considering their raw speed and controllability.
@@artw1320 the corvette, challenger and cuda handle really well actually. I would say these 3 are probably the best cars from the muscle category.
@@dhio9615 Yeah but I am going off the class that has the best cars overall. Yes I know the cars you just listed are the top in the muscle class in handling, but the tuner class has so much more better handling cars.
@@artw1320 if you are good enough, you can negate the downsides of the handling and no other class rivals the acceleration of muscle cars. If you're good enough muscle are the best class in the the game. But I do like tuners for their accessibility.

If I'm not mistaken didn't carbon always strategically place traffic in those boss races? I remember always having cars directly in my line when whipping around corners making it really tough
one of my favorite games of all time, the ending is so tense I never could beat it at 10-12 glad to see it happen finally after all these years

Really, really worth it!
I finished this game in 3 days because I was a bit new and had my exams as well.
It was really fun to push darius off the cliff, with the Dodge Charger R/T :P

The M3 is a good choice for the turns, especially Eternity Pass. If you can hold 4th gear at all times, the Bimmer is a monster in the canyon (all the tuners are monsters in the canyon).
The easiest answer against Darius in the canyon: Take a Viper or Vette, Ram him in the first corner and overtake

I always use the R34 maxed out on manual, and pass him on the first canyon run 🤷🏽♂️

I beat Darius on the first try with a Porsche carrera gt when I was like 10 and I’m 17 now and tried it again and it took me like 50 tries I almost lost my sanity

(Need for Speed: Carbon has been my Top 1 of the Need for Speed list, cuz' it's rage inducing. what's moar rage inducing is. Canyon is THINNN AF, you always dragged into de walls. XD)
Naahhhh Most Wanted 05 is more rage inducing because when you would get 1,000,000 or more bounty in a pursuit and than drive over spikes or just get busted, it will legitimately want to make you break the game and maybe do more stuff to yourself that will make you go in a graveyard

@@Jibbleyang u must the person that hits walls etc... most wanted 05 has a level difficulty in how you play. If u hit less walls, less (yellow point to point) less cars , the difficulty increases alot, u can tell that by looking at their (initial crash) and catching u so soon, speed boost. I have a mini spoiler who is the harder boss "Earl" this one has the fasted mdfujin car in the game.
I remember this event being extremely difficult and annoying. Might go back and play this game again to see how bad I used to be lmao

Word of advice re: tuning vehicles in Carbon, Herr Pantz:
Each car class have respective strengths and weaknesses. In the case of exotics like ze Murcie, they have better top speeds, at the expense of acceleration. What ya should have done here would be to tweak the middling stat to your advantage (in this case the handling stats like suspension, brakes and tires)
I should know; already finished Carbon at least 5 times, one of them was a 5-hour rush run.

I’ll admit, I used a lambo on Darius as well. Just now I figured out that it could’ve been easier with a muscle or tuner. I made my adrenaline spike for 1 hour straight for nothing.

I have a tips for you guys when you want to race with Darius:
The easy car to pass him is muscle car
I recommend Viper
Viper is good for speed up
But the other muscle car is harder to control
If you guys use viper when race with Darius on canyon, hit his car and then your car can pass him
I know Blackpanthaa love lambo but the exotic is actually not good
I win the game by using the viper

Exotics were the worsts cars for canyons, they were not that fast and the turns were horrible.
Muscles you could litterally pass him up and tuners you could get better turns than him and stay on his tail
