- The Mercedes AMG GLE 63 s Couple is a peculiar vehicle that stands out from the crowd. Under the hood is a 5.5L twin-turbo V8 the pumps out 577 HP & is mated to a 7-speed transmission. This top performer has power going to the ground with a sophisticated AWD system. It's exterior has very unique lines that screams performance and brute strength. Raiti's Rides, excellent review. We own the 2019 GLE AMG and it has turned out to be the most utilitarian, interesting and comfortable vehicle we have owned. You made a few, great subtle observations it took us a while to appreciate - roominess and headroom in the back seat is excellent for an suv coupe; I love the smoothness of the gear shifts/sport+ although the non-sport automatic setting can feel slightly sluggish at moderate speed, but the manual hand pedal gear are great, and so is the suv coupe's overall performance, superb balance and the beautiful engine/exhaust sound. Another great vehicle we have owned is the Infiniti QX70S which actually feels more maneuverable in the speed range (35-70mph), but the AMG GLE makes up above those speeds and is super-smooth at very low speeds. The 4Matic+ is great. A huge comfort factor is how well this vehicle does across all types of weather - a vehicle that feels very safe on windy narrow road or whilst driving on highways co-habited by trucks in the US East Coast where the weather can range from great sunshine through beating rain, whipping winds, sleet, ice and snow - this safety is absolutely a major selling point. The subtle point you noticed in terms of moving baggage over a higher-than-usual height to place in the very room trunk is a good one, as persons with bad backs need to be careful about that! If one manages to let the battery charge run out due to an error whilst switching off, this is not an easily vehicle to jump/restart! Overall, high value for money, great for driving with the family or alone, and for me it beats all other vehicles in that price range and even considerably more expensive hands down!

Ashame for Acura that this style vehicle didn't catch on sooner. Their ZLX was way ahead of it's time and imo actually looked better than these newer designs. I am not a fan of either the AMG or BMW models of this 4 door coupe crossover design, however the performance is very impressive.
I'm tickled pink by this vehicle. Bonkers performance, impractical design and so pointless. A true aspirational vehicle. 😍. A big 🖕to people who buy SUVs for the cargo space. "No bitches, I bought it because I could".

nice vehicle way to high maintenance for my tastes but nice. l miss the days when luxury car makers name their cars after the engine. When I use to see the number I knew the engine, now the numbers are all over the place, but I think BMW still does the car name and engine naming.

Let's note that the BMW X6 is the Forefather of the coupé fastback look of the SUV/SAV category. BMW ushered in the design with the debut of the X6. After which Mercedes tried to copy with the GLE coupé fastback. Point goes to BMW for being the trendsetter in that segment.
If you really want to get technical the Aztec is the real forefather.

I hate how the new cars have a rev limit my moms jetta with the 2.0turbo limits at 3,800 rpm redline is 7,000 rpm and the boost is low end it wont spin the tires at all intill u hit 3,600 rpm

Some classic card still cost over a 100k. It’s not just about the touchscreens anymore! It’s about the car itself and the buttons are so easy to use compared to fiddling touchscreens that are so distracting

It’s all about the engine and it’s so easy to use. Nice clear buttons and no fiddly touch screens! That engine is worth every Penny

I came out of my 2018 SL63 and got into one of these to test drive and I thought it was pitchy and rolly, and it seemed to make a lot of noise but not go very fast... the engine sound didnt seem to fit with the car.. But maybe I should have driven my wifes CRV in instead.
It's like a slower version of my Trackhawk... :P

@@RaitisRides honestly i think mercedes have the best interiors by far, especially when they have the single screen thats connected the radio an media stuff into the speedometer and all there metal looking buttons but this one not the case.
